NOTES ON PORT KEMBLA GOLF COURSE.
---------------------------------

Port Kembla is located just south of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia.
Water features on 12 of the 18 holes. The whole course is only 3-4 ft above
sea level and has sand for soil. If you want a water hazard just dig a hole,
it will fill itself, if you want a bunker dig a shallow hole. This has been
used to good effect and the course features elevated greens with steep jail
cell like bunkers, although fairway bunkers feature on one hole only.

Being flat and close to sea, the course is often buffeted by strong winds.
The worst is the summer "seabreeze" from the NE, by mid afternoon this wind
can blow at 20 knots.

The bush is thick adjacent to some fairways, notably hole 2 which features
thicks vine like growths of Bitou and Lantana scrub. Both bushes are
noxious pests ( in the real agricultural sense ), a shot hit into a clump
will generally mean a lost ball.

This course is slowly maturing into a better course, reconstruction has been
carried out on some holes, the 16th was once a short straight Par 4, now it
is a dogleg with a water hazard all along the right side. You can drive the
green with the wind behind, but play safe if its coming from in front.

Any comments or critisms would be appreciated.

In designing this course I have used only one object from the original
signature edition, I also borrowed the grass oblect from another course.
The rest of the objects are my own, imported from the old limited edition
and touched up.
