Below are 6 basic aircraft configurations. Your "Introduction to Aircraft
Control" package includes ready-to-fly modes demonstrating each of these.

  Configuration Ready-To-Fly Mode Title Filespec
  ------------- ---------------------------------- ------------
  1 - Takeoff Take_Off Mode (Generic/182) TAKE-OFF.MOD
  2 - Cruise Cruising Mode (Generic/182) CRUISING.MOD
  3 - Climb Climbing Mode (Generic/182) CLIMBING.MOD
  4 - Descent Descndng Mode (Generic/182) DESCNDNG.MOD
  5 - Slowflight Slow-Fly Mode (Generic/182) SLOW-FLY.MOD
  6 - Final Approach Final Approach(Generic/182) FINALAPP.MOD

"Generic" in the mode titles means that you can load one of these
modes, and then place your aircraft anywhere in the FS world to fly
it. For example, load Slow-Fly, then put yourself over Seattle for a
sightseeing flight. Or load Final Approach, and slew into position for
landing practice at any airport you choose. Same with the other modes.

The following six screens give you some basic information that will
help you get started with and understand each configuration.
