Word of Introduction by Digital Justice:
Rio ppls ... yeah this issue took some time to finally get
out .. and despite all that .. yeah .. we fail to deliver
those damage point values from the World Warrior. What can
I do when i can't get in touch with the dude? ah well ...

This issue took some time to come out .. longer than the
others because i've been on holidays as of late and haven't
had time to find out things and meet up with some friends.

Well there's not much else to say but adios from me till the
next time .. nowadays i don't have much time for this but
nevertheless the issues will keep pouring out so stay tuned
to the boards listed below to pick up the latest copy.

ANY info on tips/hints etc would be much appreciated. I've
had a msgs from quite a few ppls about the text which i
think is great .. but i need to make the magazine bigger and
better as i'm mostly typing out this shit and getting the
material translated etc. So mail me or the others at the
below BBS's!

Revolution BBS: (03) 761 9022
Suburbia BBS: I would give you the number but its a
crap board so don't call it.

Rumours and such crap:
Street Fighter 3:
Well almost everyone is back from holidays and from what we
know Street Fighter 3 isn't in Hong Kong or China. From
what we know it isn't in Japan either. However we hear
(prolly rumours) that its in America. We'll keep you
informed about it soon hopefully.

Right now most of us just play street fighter for fun
although there are some of us who still sorta play seriously
as in competition etc.

Chun Li/Bracelet:
We heard from one of our sources who has a friend in America
that Chun Li can apparently lose her spiked bracelets. I've
heard this before but heard that she can apparently throw
them. Well this source reckon that if she loses her
bracelet she loses her powers.
In the comic book apparently (i only get one type of the
book and it doesn't mention this) she loses her powers if
she loses any part of her uniform .. whether it be the
buttons etc.

I really don't know about this but i'll try to find out more
about it. At the end for this month everyone should be
back from holidays so we'll find out then.

Rankings:
Apparently in the number 1 rankings of all the characters in
the tournaments that were held in Japan not long ago they
were deciding that Zangief is one of the BEST players
because if the player can execute the screw piledriver
perfectly all the time then allthe opponent has to do is
make one mistake and he's err....screwed. LITERALLY.

I've perfected the screw piledriver so i can do it 99% of
the time .. whether it be the touch and grab method (ZANGIEF
INESCAPABLE SURE DEATH MOVE) or otherwise but i still think
Guile is by far the best. No matter how good a Zangief
player is a relatively ok Guile player can still beat him i
think.

Digitizing the comic:
Originally i was going to get someone to digitize the comic
book just so ppls out there who hadn't seen it yet could
take a look. There are 4 very good reasons why we didn't do
this:

1) If i was going to digitize a couple of pages it
might take up more than a few k's .. which might
be unfair to all those who have probs downloading
huge files on 300 baud etc.

2) I don't wanna get my arse sued off by some comic
          book company.

3) We don't even know from most ppls if they even
          want to see it.

4) We're all just f*cken lazy bastards.

Well .. make that 3 good reasons.
Tips/Hints:
Guile Walking Somersault Kick:
Ok here it finally is:

To do the Somersault Kick (walking) ... jump OVER an
opponent. Turn around quickly and push down (it doesn't
have to be long enough to do power up the somersault kick).
Then quickly execute a somersault kick (though in reality it
really wouldn't work because it wasn't powerered up long
enough) and hit the PUNCH button on top of the KICK button
you're going to use and then do the KICK button VERY
QUICKLY.

So in effect its a drawing of the hand sliding it down from
the punch button down across the kick button below it while
pushing the joystick down then up.

It takes a lot of practise to do this but it definitely
works.
Just takes a lot of speed and a lot of timing.

As i haven't been back in Melbourne for very long i haven't
had much time to follow this up. The Jump over the opponent
is pretty much essential but i would like to see it done
otherwise (if it can be done) but try it out and let me know
how it goes otherwise.

Escaping from the Guile Opponent Freeze:
Remember in some issues back i introduced to you the Guile
Opponent Freeze where by using a combination of somersault
kick and punch and kick buttons you could make your opponent
stick to you like glue?

Unfortunately this froze the game and there was no
conventional way to get out of it. Unless you do this:

Its VERY hard to do as it has to be perfectly timed but with
practise ...

Ok ... once you and your opponent are stuck together do the
following:
Its best (if at all) to do this while your back is up
against a wall so move to the far left or right to the
screen. Now power up a SONIC BOOM while your back is up
against the wall and then release the sonic boom BUT press
either LIGHT or MEDIUM or HEAVY punch (I mostly use MEDIUM)
AND HEAVY KICK at the same time. This must be timed EXACTLY
all at the
same moment.

If done correctly Guile actually throws the opponent away
from him and play can continue as normal. Pretty cool eh?
Just remember if it doesn't work the first time keep at it.
Ken/Ryu 3 Hit Sure-Death Maneavre:
Back a couple of issues ago I was on about this Guile
sure-death move where you hit the opponent with a hand
coming in .. crouch and punch and then do a samersault kick
quickly .. to get them unconscious again and do about 1/2
the damage. Well Ken and Ryu have one too ...

Here it is. When an opponent is stunned (or prone whatever)
.. jump in with HEAVY HAND .. crouch and do MEDIUM KICK
along the ground and then execute quickly an uppercut of any
size (LIGHT, MEDIUM or HEAVY).

I prefer using the medium though as after doing all of those
hits it pushes you away from the opponent substantially so
that sometimes if you're not fast enuff the LIGHT one won't
hit (the arc of the punch outwards isn't great enuff). So
depending on how fast you are ... try out all 3 and select
which one you think is best.

This technique works well against all opponents but
especially so against large opponents like Zangief, Sagat,
Balrog and Bison. This is mainly because the size of them
(the sprite) is so large that the arc of the punch will
almost always hit them (or just clip them) which is all you
need to get them unconscious again.

The Golden Fireball.
Ok .. now many of you have always wondered what the hell the
golden
fireball does. Extra damage? Faster? etc ..

Well as far as we know its just a normal fireball in the
sense of damage and speed. According to the book The World
Warrior there is no mention of a golden fireball doing extra
damage. Therefore the only thin we can do is conclude that
its either nothing or its used for some special trick. But
the damage and speed is just like any other.

If we get anything else on this topic we'll tellya.

The Ryu/Ken Instantaneous Fireball.
Ok I'm not so sure about this one. I think its more of a
technique rather than a trick but i'll find out more about
it. I've seen heaps of people do it but because i haven't
had much time lately i haven't had time to follow it up.

Basically its the execution of a fireball that no-one can
avoid.
Jump in and do a heavy KICK or PUNCH. Then quickly sweep
the leg using HEAVY KICK or such. Then while doing the
quick throw a fireball (preferably HEAVY(Fast)).

The computer's buffer keeps this movement in memory so while
you've done the leg sweep the fireball instantly follows up.
The opponent cannot avoid this fireball as it comes out so
quickly it can't be jumped or otherwise avoided. The
perfect thing about this is that if you have them near the
corner the fireball will push them back into the corner
where you can set them up for the fireball/uppercut
technique of which .. if done correctly .. there is no
escape.

Sheng Long: THE FORMULA
A couple of issues back i mentioned that there was a way to
access a level in Japan or some asian country .. where there
was an opponent called Sheng Long (which is another name for
Jackie Chan in some language .. i think japanese) ...

Anyway .. we got the final formula to get to this special
level from a friend in the industy. I personally have never
done this (so sue me) but i have heard many reports of ppls
who have. If anyone else does manage to get to this level
.. i'd like to hear about it .. contact me at the usual
bbs's or leave mail to Rorschach or Stranger.

Formula:

Start play with any character and get perfects until you
fight Ryu.

Kill yourself so that you die and then become Ryu and fight
Ryu (this trick is explained in an earlier issue of this
magazine).

Then keep playing and getting perfects all the way to the
end (this includes all bonus rounds).

After Bison you should then fight Jackie Chan.

Blanka: The Music:
This isn't a tip or a hint but just something that happens
with the game on EVERY machine. When you're fighting Blanka
and he does 2 Head Butts in a Row the music thats playing in
the background will stop and then very faintly in the
background music can be heard from one of the other themes.
But mostly this brings out the sound effects of the
fighting. I don't know why this happens but it does. Could
be a trick .. who knows.

Most of the times when its happened to me the music to Chun
Li's Ending Screen (when you clock it and she's become an
independent girl again and can go back to being 'normal').
Watch for it.

Ending:
This is VERY old and sometimes it doesn't work on some
machines but i thought i'd bring it up because i don't think
i've mentioned it before. But almost all of you will know
it out there. If you play the game without any
interruptions as in joining in and you get the ending screen
for that character hold down all 12 buttons on the machine.
Then when the credits come up and the characters are
fighting or its the ending where the programmers faces come
up it'll play through very quickly so you won't have to
wait. Remember you have to hold down the buttons at the
very start after you've clocked it all the way to the start
of the CREDITS. If it doesn't work then .. i guess tough
luck eh? Find another machine ..

Next Issue:
Ok hopefully (yet again) we'll have all that World Warrior
book stuff .. i'm currently trying to get myself a copy but
its bloody hard to find.

The street fighter comics provide a bit ... but i mostly
have to get my info from friends and sources in the industry
(which can be more than a bit slow at times). Also since
i've been away for so long i've missed out on issues aplenty
...

As you've prolly noticed i decided to type out this issue on
a standard word processor (got off my lazy arse for once)
and justify everything to make it at least presentable. Oh
yeah .. again forgive my spelling errors and bbs/slang stuff
.. i could edit this mag if i really wanted to but i
couldn't be stuffed.

So hang around dudes. And write in with some info! This mag
can only get better (well .. it can't get any worse!).
