This file is a 640x480 pixel color GIF image of a part of Valles
Marineris, a large valley on Mars.  The detailed structure of the
valley's walls looks much like erosion patterns on Earth.  Other
parts of Valles Marineris are shown in other images.  The color
used is an approximation, rather than "true" color.
