This short message describes the distribution format. ECU 2.80 is comprised of 32 shell archives. It's manual is included as -mm source in the primary distribution. For those without nroff, a second set of shars, ecuman280, includes an nroff'ed copy of the manual. Shar3 is used to wrap the distribution. Since ECU is useful only on SCO UNIX and XENIX systems, shar3 is a natural: When you are finished unwrapping it, an ls -l listing of the distribution will look like one of my original source directory, except for username and group name. The ecu280 shars may be unshared in any order. The ecuman280 shars must be unshared in the part number order.
