Included with this file are two Cakewalk, Version 2.0 files
to demonstrate the problem we have been having with Cakewalk
and the Casio DG-20 guitar. Both are of Paul Simon's "Book-
ends" theme played on the DG-20. The first, BOOK1.WRK, is the
file as Cakewalk recorded it. If played back by Cakewalk, many
of the notes sound clipped. The second file, BOOK2.WRK has
had the length of every note shortened by 5%. This eliminates
the clipping, but results in a somewhat stacatto sound.

Some of the notes in BOOK1.WRK seem to end on the same clock tick
when the next same note begins. Presumably Cakewalk is giving
priority in such cases to starting the new note, then cleaning up
by sending the note-off that cancels the new note. The enclosed
filter program, CAKECUT.EXE, will shorten these coincident notes
by one tick, leaving all others unchanged. BOOK3.WRK was created
by running BOOK1.WRK through CAKECUT; 35 notes were shortened out
of 143 total. Note that the BOOKns are short files, and CAKECUT
has not yet been tested with longer files.
