SayTime(R) v1.29 ----------------- SayTime(R) is a useful utility which, when put into your AUTOEXEC.BAT file, will say the time in a clear voice. You can run it at the com- mand prompt, but there are first a few requirements. To install SayTime(R) into your system, you must modify your AUTOEXEC file by adding the following lines at the beginning of the file: ECHO OFF CD \(your SoundBlaster Directory) CD (your SBTalker Directory) SBTALKER /dBLASTER SAYTIME > NUL <-- (The "> NUL" is important) . . . <-- (Of course, don't add the dots!!!) You must, obviously, copy SayTime(R) into your SBTalker directory for the AUTOEXEC.BAT to execute SayTime(R). To run SayTime(R) from the command prompt (DOS prompt), you must make sure that you install SBTALKER.EXE first. For example: x>SBTALKER /dBLASTER Then: x>SAYTIME That's about it! If you follow instructions above, you will have no problems with this program. Oh, and also, if you DON'T install the program SBTALKER.EXE, you will get no voice, no time (really???????). --------------- System Requirements: An IBM compatable computer with a Sound Blaster(R) card installed (A Gateway 2000 386-20 /w 80M hard disk optimal :-] ) The following programs: SBTALKER.EXE BLASTER.DRV (in the same directory as SBTALKER.EXE) SAY.EXE (in the same directory as SBTALKER.EXE) SAYTIME.EXE (in the same directory as SBTALKER.EXE & SAY.EXE) (SAYTIME.EXE is a program you have FOR SURE :-] ) Sound output attached to your Sound Blaster(R) card- Headphones, speakers...
