OBXDEMO is a demonstration version of OBIEX version 4.0, a Matrix-6/Matrix-1000 editor/librarian for IBM and compatible computers. It will do everything the full version will do except it will not save files and it will not send MIDI data to the Matrix-6/1000. Copy *.OBX and *.OBM to this directory. 3. Copy OBXDEMO.EXE to any directory that is in your PATH or to the OBIEX directory. 4. The first time you run OBXDEMO, change to your OBIEX directory, run OBXDEMO, enter the (O)ptions Menu, set your desired options, and (S)ave your configuration file. OBXDEMO will subsequently always use these options from whatever directory you run OBXDEMO from. INSTALLATION ON A TWO FLOPPY DRIVE SYSTEM: 1) Make working copy of your OBIEX disk a. Put a formatted disk into drive B: b. Copy a:*.* b: 2) Put your working OBIEX disk in drive A: 3) Put a formatted disk in drive B: This will be your library disk. 4) Copy A:OBINIT.OBX B: 5) Run OBX (Type A:OBX at the DOS prompt.) 6) Enter Options (O) 7) Change your default directory to B:\ Change any other options (MIDI channel, etc.) 8) Save your configuration file (S) OBIEX will now always look in the B: drive for your library. If you want to use the File Options you will have to copy the COMMAND.COM file from your DOS disk to your working copy of OBIEX. STARTING OBIEX To run OBIEX type OBXDEMO at the DOS prompt.
