The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Windows NT operating system, version 3.1
 - Microsoft Windows NT Advanced Server, version 3.1
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Bug #: 14144

SYMPTOMS
========

If you choose both Multidisk Play and Random Order, sometimes CD
Player plays all of the first CD before playing any songs on other
CDs.

CAUSE
=====

This is the result of a logic problem and poor randomization.

RESOLUTION
==========

You may be able to avoid this problem if you manually choose a disk
other than Disk 1. Randomization then seems to work better.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version
3.1. We are researching this problem and will post new information
here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
