Subject: ACT! 1.0 For Windows: "Could not open one of the phonebook
         files"

Situation:
==========
When printing to WinFax from ACT! 1.0 for Windows, the message "Could
not open one of the phonebook files" appears.

Solution:
=========
Click the OK button to clear the message dialog, and then address your
fax manually.

To stop the message from appearing, close the ACT! database before
printing to WinFax.

If you send most of your faxes from ACT! 1.0, you can correct the
problem by setting up the ACT! phonebook file as your only WinFax
phonebook. To do this:

1. Make backup copies of your existing WinFax phonebook files.

2. Delete all current WinFax phonebooks.

3. Add the ACT! phonebook file ACT.DBF to WinFax. This phonebook is
    read-only in WinFax, meaning you must add or delete phonebook records
    in ACT!.

    For details on adding phonebooks, see Chapter 4 of the WinFax PRO
    User's Guide.

Notes: ACT! 1.1 for Windows solves this problem, and also provides new
        WinFax features to enhance ACT! faxing capabilities. See the
        related document below.

        If you are using a version of WinFax PRO 3.0 dated prior to
        April 21, 1993, you should upgrade to the WinFax PRO maintenance
        release. See the related document below.
