                   CADAO
                   =====
             Version 1.1 8/30/93

Cadao is a program to display a phrase randomly in Windows.
Phrase comes from a phrase file, default name is "cadao.txt". Users can
modify this file to add, delete or change the phrases.
Phrases are separated by user-selectable character, default is "+".
The phrase file is in VISCII, and were contributed by Viet-Netters and
SCVers, most notably Nguye^~n thi. Ca Dao .
Cadao also requires the UHoa`i 1.1 font, installed by winvnkey, or is
available separately in vnfont1 package on major public archives.
Cadao was inspired and derived from a PD program Yow by Edward Hutchins.
Many thanks to Nguye^~n Gia Ho`a for his constant harassment to get
some of the bugs fixed ;-)

Changes in version 1.1 (8/30/93):
  * fixed a display-context bug. Cadao 1.0 release the device context
    twice, which may create problem.
  * add a timer for periodic popup.

To install Cadao:
1) Copy the files "cadao.exe" and "cadao.txt" to desired directory,
   for example , c:\viet\utils
2) Run Windows
3) Click to select a group where you want Cadao to be placed.
4) Click on "File" of Program Manager, then "New" and select new item.
Then use "browse" to locate the file "cadao.exe"
(in directory "c:\viet\utils" if you have copied it there).
5) Click "OK" and get out.

To run Cadao:
Just double click on its icon. The phrase will appear for 10 second. You can
click on the displayed phrase anytime to clear it. Cadao then becomes
an icon, and you can double click on it again to get another phrase.
To get rid of it, click once on its icon and select "Close"

It's best to have Cadao run when you start Windows (like a once-a-day vitamin).
To do this, move it to the Start Up group.

Have fun,
