June 22, 1992 -- Beaverton, Oregon - PC-Kwik Corporation today announced
the introduction of WinMaster, its new Windows utility software. Designed
to make users' work with Windows faster, easier, informative, and more
enjoyable, WinMaster gives single-click access to programs and files, and
displays graphic information on system performance and the state of the
disk drives. Also included are a program to optimize disks to make Windows
run faster, and a drag and drop file compression and storage program to
free up disk space. WinMaster is scheduled to begin shipping in the first
week of August, 1992.

WinMaster consists of four main programs: WinMaster Toolbox, KwikInfo,
Power Disk, and KwikVault .

WinMaster Toolbox is a powerful, easily set up, button bar which provides
single-click access to the user's most commonly-needed programs. No matter
where the user is in Windows, or what application is running, Toolbox can
be brought up and a program can be launched by a single click of a mouse.
Users no longer have to switch to Program Manager to find other
applications, then load the application. For example, once the Toolbox is
set up, a single click is all that is required to launch a spreadsheet
application while the user is working in a word processing application.

Easily customized to fit the user's requirements, up to 50 buttons can be
displayed in each Toolbox, representing an available tool, application,
file, or another Toolbox. Toolboxes can be nested and linked for powerful,
instant access to applications, accessories, files, and other utilities. A
special feature even allows Program Manager groups to be converted to
Toolboxes. The Toolbox can also be used as the Windows shell, allowing
faster loading of Windows and faster launching of applications while
conserving valuable Windows system resources.

KwikInfo provides in-depth, dynamic information about the user's system. An
information menu allows display and printing of information about memory,
video display, disk drives, printers, fonts, and Windows tasks. Dynamic
information about the system's CPU use, memory use, disk and cache
information, and Windows free system resources can be displayed in small
windows, called meters, either in graph form, or, when minimized, in icon
form. Each meter can be customized to display the information needed by
the user. PowerScope, another KwikInfo analysis tool, enables the user to
display graphic, detailed information on file placement, organization, and
fragmentation.

Power Disk is a safe, reliable disk analysis, testing, and defragmentation
utility that can be scheduled to run at system startup or can be run
directly from Windows. Disks can be analyzed to determine disk usage and
the amount taken up by fragmented files. The Power Disk scheduler lets
users schedule disk testing, defragmentation, and directory sorting. Four
defragmentation strategies and three protection levels are available to
allow the user maximum flexibility in disk optimization. Automatic
reporting options can be selected to send reports directly to a disk or
printer after reorganization. Directories can be sorted by up to 5
different criteria to give users optimal control of their disk
organization.

KwikVault provides a fast and convenient method of archiving files and
directories in compressed form using the drag and drop technology of
Windows 3.1. With high compression ratios and speeds, KwikVault gives
users the ability to quickly store and retrieve files that are not used
regularly, while preserving their original path for retrieval. Users can
simply select files and directories from the Windows File Manager or any
true drag and drop host, then drag them to the KwikVault icon for
compression and storage. The contents of KwikVault can easily be viewed,
and the file or directory can be restored to the original or a new path,
as desired. As with many of WinMaster's features, KwikVault can be set to
remain on top of other applications, making it available at all times.

"WinMaster is unique in its focus on saving time for Windows users," stated
Bruce Schafer, President of PC-Kwik Corporation. "Users now have quicker
access to their applications, and better information and tools to help
them tune their system for optimum performance. WinMaster gives users
control over their Windows environment with the same high quality,
compatibility, and ease-of-use that they have experienced with the other
utilities in our family of PC-Kwik products."

WinMaster operates on any 286 or later compatible PC equipped with versions
3.0 or 3.1 of Windows.
