WINDOWS DIAL-UP REMOTE CONTROL VERSION 2.0 ANNOUNCED

PC Expo. New York. June 23-25 1992: Avalan Technology, Inc., announces
Version 2.0 of Remotely Possible/Dial. Remotely Possible/Dial is the first
Windows based remote control and file transfer package designed for
Windows from the ground-up. Remotely Possible/Dial allows a user to
remotely control a Windows PC with full remote mouse and keyboard
operation, or to transfer files between the PCs using a powerful file
transfer utility, using standard dial-up modems.

Version 2.0 includes support for Windows accelerator display adapters, high
resolution Super VGA displays, high speed modems (115,200 bps), and a
handy de-install option, features not found on other remote control
packages. In addition Version 2.0 now directly supports over 60 modems
including many of the new V.32 and V.32bis modems. Advanced modems
conforming to the proposed CCITT V.FAST modem standard are also supported
by Remotely Possible/Dial Version 2.0.

Enhanced Video Support

Remotely Possible/Dial Version 2.0 now includes support for Super VGA
displays up to 1024x768x256 colors and Windows accelerator cards. With the
introduction of Windows 3.1 many users are using Super VGA displays and
Windows accelerator cards, which are quickly replacing standard VGA.
Version 2.0 allows the user to maintain the same advanced video mode for
remote control and standard Windows applications.

High Speed Windows Communications

Remotely Possible/Dial version 2.0 now supports the Codex 3261 V.FAST
modem. This modem is capable of transmitting data at 115,200 bps over
ordinary phone lines. File transfer speeds in excess of 10,000 characters
per second are now possible and Windows remote control is virtually
instantaneous! According to Bo Sullivan, Vice President at Telcor Systems,
"We observed data transfer rates in excess of 10,000 characters per second
using Remotely Possible/Dial with the Codex modems. It's just like being
there. The performance is incredible!"

Pricing

Remotely Possible/Dial is priced at $199 and only a single copy is needed
for both the local and remote PCs. Site licenses are available. Avalan
Technology provides unlimited toll-free technical support and a 30 day
money-back guarantee.
