printers affected are the QMS-PS 410, a 4 page-per-minute (ppm) individual
user and small work group printer and the QMS-PS 2210 and 2220, two 22 ppm
printers which are designed to support the ledger- and letter-size
printing requirements of multiple users.

** New prices are effective immediately
** The QMS-PS 410 printer includes ESP (emulation sensing
   processor) technology, SIO (simultaneous interface
   operation), and user-configurable input buffers.
** The QMS-PS 2210 and 2210 printers are 22 ppm work group
printers that support printing of pages up to 11" x 17"

"Since its introduction in July of 1990, the QMS-PS69 410 has been one of
the most successful fully-featured PostScript printers in the
marketplace," said Don Vander Beke, QMS senior vice president of
marketing. "When we introduced this product, we stated that it would set a
new price/performance standard for personal PostScript printers, and it
has done just that. PostScript printer buyers are now more cost conscious
than ever, and at this new price, the QMS-PS 410 is an even better buy.

"The QMS-PS 2210 and 2220 continue to be particularly popular among users
in desktop publishing, graphic arts, technical publishing, CAD/CAE and
accounting environments, due to their 11" x 17" printing and PostScript
language capabilities. The combination of QMS controller technology for
faster PostScript processing, 22 page-per-minute print speeds for
letter-size printing and the large format for specialized applications has
proven to be very attractive to our customers. At these new prices, people
who need the speed and flexibility the QMS-PS 2210 and 2220 provide will
find these printers to be very cost-effective."

The four page per minute QMS-PS 410 laser printer is designed to serve
individual users or small workgroups. Adobe's PostScript and HP PCL63' are
resident on the printer. An HP-GL emulation is optionally available. The
printer's ESP (Emulation Sensing Processor) technology works with most
popular commercially available applications, allowing the printer to
identify the incoming data stream and switch to the appropriate printer
language. Simultaneously active parallel, serial and LocalTalk interfaces
are standard as are user-configurable input buffers for each interface.
The combination of ESP, SIO (Simultaneous Interface Operation) and
configurable input buffers make it easy to share the QMS-PS 410 across
dissimilar computer platforms. The QMS-PS 410 printer comes standard with
an expanded collection of 45 Type 1 Adobe resident typefaces.

The QMS-PS 2210 and 2220 printers are 22 ppm laser printers designed for
high volume and 11" x 17" printing. Adobe's PostScript, HP PCL Level IV
and HP-GL are standard as is a host-based emulation switching utility for
DOS environments. Parallel, serial and LocalTalk interfaces are also
standard. The QMS-PS 2210 printer features one 250-sheet input cassette
and a 100-sheet input tray. The QMS-PS 2220 printer features two 250-sheet
input cassettes and a 100-sheet input tray.

The QMS-PS 410 printer has primary U.S. distribution through the company's
nationwide network of authorized resellers. The QMS-PS 2210 and 2220
printers are available from QMS's worldwide direct sales force.
