NEW YORK, June 23, 1992 -- Sharp has responded to the sophisticated needs
of the presentation computer graphics market with the introduction of a
multimedia-capable computer projection panel that features 185,000 true
colors and full-motion capability.

The QA-1050 TFT Computer/Video LCD projection panel utilizes a full 640 x
480 dot 10.4" TFT (Thin Film Transistor) color LCD with an active matrix
system capable of displaying full-motion computer and video graphics in
185,000 brilliant colors. An incredibly fast display time of 30 frames per
second makes both video images and computer displays equally impressive.

A 19-key infrared wireless remote control unit with back-lit status display
is included with the QA-1050 for user convenience. Remote control
functions include image clear, image enlarge,
frequency/phase/horizontal/vertical adjust, 512 or 186,000 color display
select, 720/640 VGA pixel compression, image shift cursors, reset and PC
control.

The QA-1050 is extremely simple to set-up and operate. All that is required
is to run a single cable from the panel to the computer and plug in the AC
adaptor. A solid-state EEPROM holds all important set-up adjustments in
memory, even when the power is turned off for an extended period of time.

Sharp's QA-1050ADP Color Composite Video Adaptor enables the QA-1050 to be
easily connected with VCRs, videodisc players and cameras for live video.
Built-in selector allows the user to instantly switch between a computer
and video input source.

The QA-1050 and the QA-1050ADP video adapter are currently available at a
suggested retail price of $5,995 and $600 respectively.
