NEW YORK, June 23, 1992 -- In a move calculated to position the PC-6781
notebook computer aggressively against competing systems, Sharp
Electronics Corporation has reduced the list price of the unit from $3,599
to $2,599.

Based on the 20MHz Intel386 SL processor, the PC-6781 incorporates a
highspeed LCD screen, built-in micro trackball, PCMCIA version 2.0 IC card
slot, 1.44 MB floppy drive and 80 MB hard disk drive. A four-level power
management system includes a local standby mode for device control, global
standby for CPU and system control, Suspend-to-Disk and Suspend/Resume.

The PC-6781 measures 8.5" (D) x 11.0" (W) x 1.6" (H) and weighs 4.9
pounds.
