NEW YORK, NY (PC Expo, Booth #308) - June 23, 1992 - Microcom, Inc., a
leading developer of PC connectivity solutions, today demonstrated a
comprehensive set of software and hardware solutions that provides PC
users with efficient communications capabilities. From the unique Cellular
Data Link, featuring MNP 10 - the enabling technology for communication
over adverse channels - to LANlord integrated client PC management
software, Microcom solutions allow users to communicate with and manage
other PCs virtually anywhere.

PC users on-the-go can optimize their portable computing with a combination
of Microcom modems and remote communications software. These products are
key tools for the growing telecommuting workforce which moves the work to
the worker instead of moving the worker to the work.

. Cellular Data Link (CDL) is an integrated solution enabling both data and
voice communication over cellular networks. The CDL combines a Microcom
MNP 10 modem and a Mitsubishi 1500 TPK cellular telephone to provide
flexible communications capabilities.

. Carbon Copy remote control software for DOS and Windows enables PC users
to operate LAN-based or standalone PCs via cellular or conventional
dial-up connections. Carbon Copy effectively multiplies the power of
users' PCs by placing remote data and applications at their fingertips.

. Relay Gold 5.0 for Windows and Relay Gold 5.0 for DOS provide complete
corporate communications between PCs and 3270 mainframes. Both versions of
Relay provide a wide range of terminal emulations, file transfer protocols
and exceptional automated scripting.

. MicroPorte 4232bis is a high-speed portable modem using MNP 10, the
Microcom Networking Protocol enabling data communication over both
conventional land-lines and cellular networks. With a footprint the size
of a standard index card, the MicroPorte 4232bis is easily carried in
notebook cases.

. QX/4232bis modem provides a reliable high-speed link from the desktop PC
to remotely located standalone or LAN-based PCs. Supporting MNP 10, the
QX/4232bis enables PC users to communicate data over cellular links and
conventional land lines. With throughput speeds up to 57,600 Kbps, the
QX/4232bis also reduces conventional connection time, resulting in
substantial dollar savings to users.

Two new Microcom internetworking products enhance corporate LAN management
and improve LAN to WAN connectivity, respectively.

. LANlord is Microcom's new integrated software solution for centralized
management of DOS and Windows client PCs on local area networks. LANlord
monitors and manages PC hardware, software and configuration data, as well
as LAN and PC activity in realtime. Licenses are available for 10-users,
20-users, 50-users, 100-users and 250-users.

. Microcom Bridge/Router Release 6.0 (MBR 6.0), Microcom's new
multiprotocol bridge/router now includes Frame Relay support and IP
routing. The MBR 6.0 provides a cost-effective method to connect local
Token Ring and Ethernet LANs and link remote LANs over Frame Relay, X.25
or leased line networks. Two models of the MBR 6.0, the MBR/6000 and
MBR/6500 feature 4:1 data compression and VGA support. The MBR/6000 also
supports V.25bis remote dialing.

Microcom designs, manufactures and markets software and hardware solutions
for PC connectivity via LANs and dial-up access. The corporation is
headquartered in Norwood, Massachusetts, with offices in Danbury,
Connecticut; Durham, North Carolina; Wilmington, Delaware; Yonkers, New
York; Caguas, Puerto Rico; sales offices throughout the United States; and
international offices in France, Hong Kong, Singapore and the United
Kingdom.
