JetPress print server for Novell NetWare local area networks is now
available in a Token Ring version. JetPress Token Ring and JetPress
Ethernet, which has been available since September 1991, achieve
exceptionally high printing speeds--speeds benchmarked at three times
faster than other network printing solutions that use parallel ports.

The JetPress print server offers direct network connections for HP LaserJet
ll, IID, lll and IIID printers, and easily installs into the optional l/O
slot on the back of the printer. High speeds are attained by using this
optional l/O interface. JetPress Token Ring supports 4 mbps and 16 mbps
networks, source routing protocol, and Local Administration of Addresses
(LAA).

Both JetPress units are self-contained devices and emulate the
functionality of the print server--no additional NLMs, VAPs, TSRs or other
software on the file server or client workstations are required; there is
no need for external power supplies or printer cables. JetPress offloads
print server duties from the file server, leaving more of the file server
bandwith available for other tasks. As a result, networks can operate
faster, more reliably and flexibly with Castelle print servers.

Both JetPress units provide complete Novell compatibility and can serve 32
queues on up to eight file servers. JetPress supports the SPX protocol,
which allows for "on-the-fly" reconfiguration and in-progress job
monitoring of print servers. Once installed, no maintenance is required,
as JetPress will automatically reconnect to the file server if the server
is brought down and back up again. JetPress supports encrypted passwords
used in NetWare 386. JetPress is compatible with all popular PostScript
cartridges and will generate PostScript banner pages.

Complete Network Server Solutions

a compact, book-size device which allows the connection of up to four
