SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 8, 1992 -- Software Publishing Corporation today
announced the availability of Harvard Graphics for Windows, version 1.01.
This update to the company's market-leading Windows presentation graphics
product enables business users to easily add multimedia elements, such as
sound, MIDI music and animation, to their on-screen presentations.

"The overwhelming corporate acceptance for Harvard Graphics for Windows
confirms that our blend of market-leading usability and technical
innovation is once again redefining the product standard in the
presentation graphics category," said Pat Motola, vice president of
marketing for Software Publishing Corporation. "By incorporating
multimedia capabilities into Harvard Graphics, we are providing our
customers with the first easily-implemented solution for adding sound,
music or animation clips to business presentations."

Multimedia Capabilities with HGW Play

Harvard Graphics for Windows, version 1.01, offers an easy to use,
transparent multimedia player that allows business users to add sound,
MIDI music and animation files to their presentations. This transparent
multimedia player, called HGW Play, works in conjunction with the
product's innovative Launch Application feature. Users running Windows 3.1
or Windows 3.0 with Multimedia Extensions simply define an on-screen
"button" and use it to trigger the multimedia clip. Users then type in the
name of the desired media file or MCI script, and Harvard Graphics for
Windows will play the designated files when the "button" is activated
during the ScreenShow presentation.

Faster & Easier Presentation Creation

Harvard Graphics for Windows, version 1.01, also provides users with faster
access to its Presentation Styles and Symbol Library. Users can now select
and preview Presentation Styles in one step, enabling them to quickly
adapt the background design, color and style of their presentation to
varying audience and A/V requirements. In addition, the product's Symbol
Library offers a new add-to-slide button allowing users to quickly add
symbols to slides in their presentation.

Additional Filters

Harvard Graphics for Windows includes several new file filters, expanding
the product's import and export capabilities. The product now imports and
exports WordPerfect graphics files (WPG) and Macintosh graphics files
(PICT and PICT2), as well as importing Lotus .WK3 spreadsheet files.

ScreenShow Projector for Windows

Harvard Graphics for Windows' ScreenShow Projector utility enables users to
display presentations on Windows-based computers without running Harvard
Graphics. Users who are producing on-screen presentations and require a
copy of the ScreenShow Projector do not need to move to version 1.01 in
order to obtain runtime capabilities.

Current users of Harvard Graphics for Windows can request a copy of the
ScreenShow Projector directly from Software Publishing's Customer Service
Department, for a $15 shipping and handling fee.

System Requirements

Designed for IBM personal computers and 100 percent compatibles, Harvard
Graphics for Windows, version 1.01, requires a 286-based system with a
minimum of 10 megabytes of hard disk space, 2 megabytes of RAM, EGA or
above display adapter, and a mouse. The recommended configuration is a 386
or 386SX-based system, 18 megabytes of hard disk space, 4 megabytes of
