=======     This is less a strictly hypertext term and more a
WHAT IS     typical computer term referring to the way most computer
A FILE?     operating systems store information. Files always have
=======     names which the user employs to bring up the information
            stored in the computer.

========    In this hypertext system, file names are enclosed within
ANGLE       angle brackets, which often includes a description or
BRACKETS    label identifying the content of the file, for example:
AND         <3A263A3 LINK>. Information in the file can be accessed
LABELS      from the screen at the point where the bracketed files
========    appear <3A263A2 INVOKE>. The term "file" can be used
            interchangeably with the term "node." <3A263A4 NODE>
