NEW SINGLE-BOARD CONTROLLER PACKS 10 POUNDS OF HORSE POWER INTO A 5-POUND
BAG

VERNON, CONNECTICUT, July 16, 1993 - In response to OEM customer demand,
Micromint Inc. introduces the PRO31/52 single-board controller. The
PRO31/52 is one of the most versatile single-board computers that
Micromint has produced.

Packing most of the features of Micromint's highly popular RTC product line
into a single board measuring only 4"x8", PRO31/52 may be programmed with
everything from assembly language to high-level languages. PRO31/52 has
room for up to 96K of RAM/PROM; an 8-channel, 8- or 10-bit ADC; an
8-channel, 8-bit DAC; interfaces for both an LCD display and a 4x5 keypad;
clock/calendar; hardware watchdog; interrupt inputs; 48 bits of TTL I/O;
and an I/O expansion bus with 8 more bits of port 1 TTL and six decoded
address strobes.

Not only is there flexibility in the system specifications, but there is
flexibility in system power. The PRO31/52 can be powered from either a
single 12 to 24V DC supply, or three supplies of +5V and +12V DC. Both the
system RAM and clock/calendar are nonvolatile.

Program development on the PRO31/52 is as fast and simple as connecting a
terminal to the PRO31/52 and entering BASIC language programs at the
prompt, or downloading a BASIC language, C language, or an assembly
language file using one of our convenient ROMed or PC-based development
packages.

The 80C52 processor may be jumper configured for 80C31/80C32 functionality
making a dual programming environment possible. The 80C52 is an 8K-byte
floating-point BASIC interpreter that is both fast and control orientated.
It can directly call assembly language routines for applications which
need the "best of both worlds." External interrupts, clock/calendar
interrupts, or watchdog timer interrupts can be serviced directly in
BASIC-52. For those who have tough code problems or require code
protection, Micromint offers an optional BASIC-52 compiler.

A sample programs ROM is provided that demonstrates the major features and
functions of the board. Other utility programs are available that allow
the creation of EPROMable programs, terminal emulation, editing, and file
transfer using a PC.

PRO31-1 prices start at $289.00 in singles ($219.00/100) and PRO52-1 prices
start at $299.00 in singles ($229.00/100).
