Prime Time SDK for Intel SVR4.2

 Prime Time Freeware, 1993
 Issue 1-1, ISBN 1-881957-13-6

Package Description

PTSDK is designed for the low end development market. Specifically, it
targets users of UnixWare Personal Edition (and similar Intel-based SVR4.2
products). Many of these folks would like to do C and X-based development
but don't have the work volume or resources to justify purchasing the SDK
(Software Development Kit). It is also appropriate for users who don't
have the system resources needed for the Unixware SDK installation.

PTSDK consists of a book and a Rock Ridge format CD-ROM. The disc contains
complete source code, documentation, and executable files for all of the
packages listed below. The disc may be mounted as a filesystem and used
as if it were simply another hard disk. In this mode, the disc can be
mounted during the development phase of a project, and removed
thereafter.

PTSDK is also useful as a distribution medium; any package on PTSDK can be
copied to a system disk. Many users will use PTSDK in both modes, running
some programs from the CD-ROM and installing others from it onto the
system.

Documentation for all of the major packages comes on the CD including
Postscript Manuals, Info format text files and man(1) pages

Some of PTSDK's major packages are:

GNU Project tools Dozens of UNIX-like commands for file handling,

Future Plans:

New releases will occur at least once a year. We expect to add new tools
and update existing tools each time. We would also like to fix some of
the directory dependencies that are hard-coded into many of these
packages. Finally, versions for other architectures and/or OS variants
are a real possibility.

NOTE: Prime Time Freeware contains 1.2 GB of UNIX-related compressed
source and documentation, supplied as a book and two ISO-9660
        CD-ROMs.
