New Switching Options for PC Bus Systems Add Flexibility

August 18, 1993 -- BEVERLY, Mass. -- Form-C or single pole double throw
(SPDT) switching capabilities are now available for a series of PC/XT/AT
or EISA-Bus compatible relay output modules from DDI, Inc. Two Form-C
models have been added to the Series 8600 Relay Output Control modules,
which provide low-cost switching solutions for a variety of PC Bus
computer applications.

"The Form-C option will provide our customers with a wider array of
switching solutions. Our goal is to help our customers find as many
practical approaches to relay control applications as possible." says Erik
Valeur, president of DDI, Inc.

The DDI Series 8600 consists of fourteen PC/XT/AT or EISA bus compatible
relay control cards. The relay output modules can be fitted with reed,
mercury, solid state or electro-mechanical relays.

Offering control flexibility, models can control signals or loads from
micro Volts at micro Amps up to 5 Amps at 250 Volts. Each board
individually controls up to eight I/O channels. DDI Form-C Series 8600,
Relay Output Control modules are currently available for shipping.

Providing simple, low-cost detection and response solutions that switch
internal loads directly from embedded or stand-alone PC or STD bus systems
is the goal of five year old DDI, Inc. Today, plugin board-level products
from DDI are used in process control, telecom, alarms and security
monitoring, communications, component testing, laboratory switching, and
many other applications.
