A new version of dbModules 1.0 for Windows replaces our previous versions
for MS-DOS and IBM OS/2 2.0. This new version of dbModules is for 32-bit
Windows 3.1 which run on 386/486 32-bit systems with at least 8MB memory.
There are two priorities in using less Mouse device for the notebook type
computer users. First, so they can install dbModules in their system and
carry all their database with them when they travel. Our second priority
is to continue to use the latest compiling technology that IBM or WATCOM
International Corporation's Flat Memory Model 32-bit C/C++ has to develop
our software. Each application will use a different Child Window to
present and operate, so that we may know how far our own pocket book can
spend the dollars for computer memory chips and enjoy our mainframe style
software running in a tiny Microcomputer. Although we are using 32MB
memory system to develop our Windows software; before we release this new
version of dbModules 1.0 for Windows, we have tested it under Windows 3.1
and the latest Upgrade IBM OS/2 2.1 Win-OS/2 with a 8MB memory 486 system.
They are both running fine. In case the IBM OS/2 2.1 WIN-OS/2 does not
support the BIOS's printer routines, then we use UNIX's putc() routine for
IBM OS/2 2.1 version.
