FAXFACTS SYSTEM AIDS MIDWEST FLOOD RECOVERY

U.S. Government Again Chooses FaxFacts for Crucial Information Delivery

WHEATON, IL -- August 27, 1993 -- Midwesterners stricken by the July
flooding can now call FLOOD/FAX at 800-647-3349 to get the latest
information on available disaster assistance and rebuilding services.
Using Copia's FaxFacts Fax-On-Demand technology, callers can request any
of the 50 documents currently on the system and have them delivered to a
specified fax machine.

Launched August 1, 1993, FLOOD/FAX is a service of the U.S. Department of
Commerce and the Greater Des Moines Chamber of Commerce Federation. In
order to service the greatest number of people, the 16 line system is
configured to handle information requests from either a regular phone or a
fax machine handset. Various government sources provide information on
loan assistance, economic impact, health and medical services and many
other crucial topics. Document 199 provides a list of all documents
currently on the system.

The U.S. Government uses FaxFacts in several areas where providing timely
information, 24-hours a day, is critical. The Department of Commerce
established REFIX/FAX last October to aid in the rebuilding of Florida
following the Hurricane Andrew disaster. The National Institute of
Health's CancerFax (301-402-5874) delivers information to an average of
100 people per day who call to learn the latest developments in cancer
treatment. The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services (203-297-5698)
and the Massachusetts Department of Revenue (617-727-2123) makes state tax
forms available on a 24-hour basis via fax.

The Commerce Department's Economics and Statistics Administration's
Electronic Bulletin Board system (900-786-2329), called EBB/Fax, offers
callers economic, foreign trade and monetary data within an hour of its
release. Another FaxFacts governmental application, at the Transportation
Department's Anti-Drug Information Center (800-CAL-DRUG), provides
immediate access to all regulatory information regarding DOT's anti-drug
program. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services provides
information on health care issues via their Agency for Health Care Policy
fax line.

We invite you to try FaxFacts for yourself. Call 708-924-3030 from a
