DATA ACQUISITION/CONTROL FOR THE LAB

The DIANACHART desk-top LAB-ACQ turns any personal computer into a
laboratory data acquisition system for research. Installation is easy, the
manufacturer claims; just plug it into a parallel printer port. It easily
moves from one PC to another.

LAB-ACQ can be easily set up to measure directly from sensors or
transducers - temperature, pressure, pulse rate, etc., with full 16-bit
resolution. The LAB-ACQ applies signal conditioning such as linearization
and then stores the readings to disk in an ASCII file format, compatible
with spreadsheets and databases.

The LAB-ACQ is a complete system with hardware, cables, manuals and driver
software included. LAB-ACQs have 6, 14 or 48 Analog Inputs, 11 Binary
Inputs, an Event Counter and 10 Binary Outputs. Analog Outputs are
available.

With optional INSTA-TREND Real-time Graphics software, data is continuously
displayed on-screen and there are many types of print-outs available. The
data is stored to multiple files at chosen intervals. Data files are LOTUS
compatible.

INSTA-TREND eliminates programming - just make a few menu entries. Use a
mouse or touch screen!

Many features are available to satisfy more sophisticated needs. Features
like: Alarms with voice-phone interface, PID and PLC control, instant
replay of past data, X-T, X-Y and Bar graphs, custom displays, reports and
print-outs.
