Triton announces CoSession ACS v6.2

New Version Provides Support for Multiport Serial Cards and Windows 3X
Enhanced Mode

Iselin, NJ, August 20, 1993 - Triton Technologies announces the September
15th release of CoSession ACS v6.2. Version 6.2 adds support for
intelligent multiport serial cards, allows modems to be shared on
workstations running Windows 3.X in enhanced mode, and offers increased
performance.

CoSession ACS is a network communication software solution that provides
modem sharing on Novell or NetBIOS networks via either dedicated or
non-dedicated PCs.

The support of intelligent multiport serial cards from DigiBoard and Star
Gate Technologies increases the maximum number of modems supported by
CoSession ACS to 99 per network and 32 per server. Previously, CoSession
ACS was limited to 20 modems per network and 4 modems per server.

The use of intelligent multiport serial cards greatly increases performance
compared to the performance achieved through standard UART 8250, 16450 or
16550 serial chips used on most standard PCs, especially when the shared
modems are operating at speeds of 19,200 bps or faster.

Also, additional Windows support enables modems to be shared in the
background on workstations running Windows in either standard or enhanced
mode. Previously, CoSession ACS v6.1 only allowed modems to be shared on
workstations running Windows in standard mode.

"Many users are familiar with the benefits a network offers for file and
printer sharing. However, sharing modems and communication software on a
LAN greatly increases employee productivity, and overall, a company's
bottom line," explains Floyd Roberts, Triton's Vice President. "High speed
modems and communication software provide users with fast access to data
and information contained in on-line services such as Dow Jones and
CompuServe and on remote PCs and LANs."

CoSession ACS is licensed by the maximum number of modems to be shared on
the LAN. Version 6.2 is available in Two, Five and Twenty modem versions
with retail prices of $345, $595 and $1295.

An Interrupt 14 version of Triton's CoSession remote communication software
is included with each copy of CoSession ACS. CoSession provides remote
control, terminal emulation, and file transfer capabilities. Combined with
CoSession ACS' modem sharing feature, you receive all these features in
one product.

CoSession ACS is also compatible with other leading communication packages
such as PROCOMM PLUS for Windows, Crosstalk, Smartcom, Reflections and
Relay Gold that support Interrupt 14.

Upgrades from prior CoSession ACS versions to version 6.2 are $95 if
purchased before June 1, 1993. Upgrades to users who purchased CoSession
ACS v6.1 after June 1, 1993 are available for free if downloaded from
Triton's BBS.
