Gupta Partner Introduces NetWare Library for SQLWindows 4.0

Direct Access To NetWare Services Makes Client-Server Application
Development Easier

Menlo Park, Calif., May 3, 1993--Gupta Corporation announced today that
Dunn Systems, a Gupta Business Partner (Lincolnwood, Ill.), will make
available a Novell network applications library for Gupta SQLWindows that
provides built-in access to NetWare services from SQLWindows applications.
SQLLib is the first third-party class library to be introduced for
SQLWindows 4.0 as part of Gupta's recently announced program encouraging
developers to create and co-market add-on templates and libraries for
SQLWindows 4.0.

"SQLLib makes it easy for application developers to create NetWare
integrated applications while remaining in the SQLWindows environment,"
said William Dunn, President of Dunn Systems, Inc. "Many of Gupta's
customers enjoy the high productivity gained from using a fourth
generation language, and this library will allow them to stay in that
environment and still have access to NetWare services."

Willie Tejada, director of Developer Relations for Novell, Inc. said, "We
want to make it as easy as possible to develop applications that take
advantage of the NetWare environment SQLWindows is a robust product with a
significant installed base in the NetWare environment, so we are very
pleased that it will now allow simplified access to NetWare services
through SQLLib."

SQLLib for NetWare lets developers easily create graphical applications
that access Novell NetWare services from the SQLWindows development
environment, without having to code in C or C++. SQLWindows developers
will be able to access all NetWare services currently supported by
Novell's libraries, including file, print, directory, login and logout,
user management and communications. Future versions of SQLLib will support
new services being developed by Novell, including document management,
imaging and others.

Programmers who take advantage of SQLLib will be able to add, delete and
modify Novell user information directly from SQLWindows. Some of the
capabilities available with the library include the creation and
modification of login scripts, user and group trustee rights, and
configuration of print services. NetWare 4.0 users will also be able to
create custom entries in Novell's new directory services.

SQLLib for NetWare, with availability planned the end of the second quarter
of this year, will be the first NetWare applications library for
client-server development to become available. It will be priced at
$595.00, making it the most cost-effective NetWare applications library
yet announced. SQLLib will be compatible with Novell NetWare 2.X, 3.X and
4.0. For more information, contact Dunn Systems at 800/486-3866.
