DIGITAL VISION SHIPS FREE COMPUTEREYES/RT SOFTWARE UPGRADE WITH QUICKTIME
SUPPORT AND PHOTOSHOP PLUG-IN

May 3, 1993 -- (DEDHAM, MA) -- DIGITAL VISION, Inc., producer of the only
SCSI video frame grabber for the Macintosh, announces a free software
upgrade for ComputerEyes/RT users that includes QuickTime support, a
Photoshop plug-in, and a new version of the still image capture software.

A QuickTime driver, known as a VDIG, is now included with ComputerEyes/RT
that allows you to capture images within Adobe Premier, Movie Recorder, or
any other QuickTime compatible application. Simply install the VDIG in the
Extensions folder of the System Folder and reboot. The movie capture
capabilities of any QuickTime compatible application will awaken, allowing
you to grab QuickTime sequences from live video or from your favorite
video tape.

The upgrade includes an Adobe Photshop Plug-in. When placed in your Adobe
Photoshop folder, this software will add capture capabilities within
Photoshop. It's a one-step solution replacing the process of capturing
from within ComputerEyes software, saving the image, and then loading it
into Photoshop.

A new version of the ComputerEyes/RT application completes the upgrade
package. The new version of software now has a motion filter for catching
stills from faster moving video. Plus, we've added a field grab option.
giving you the ability to grab an image in 1/60th of a second instead of
1/30th. The faster grab also helps improve images from fast moving
movies.

"Free software updates are just part of the way we do business''. said
Digital Vision President, David Pratt. "While other manufacturers make
money selling software upgrades, we feel it's easier to keep our current
customers happy and up-to-date so that they'll become repeat customers."

Released in the Fall of 1992, ComputerEyes/RT SCSI grabs full-screen. 640 x
480. 16.7 million color images in 1/30th of a second from any source with
NTSC composite video or S-video output. The result is near-photographic
quality images in black-and-white, color, or gray-scale. The user can then
save the images in MacPaint, PICT, TIFF, or QuickTime files and use them
in desktop publishing, graphic arts, image databasing, presentations. or a
variety of other applications. ComputerEyes/RT sells for the very
affordable price of $599.95.
