Intergraph Announces MicroStation Version 5

ATLANTA, May 24, 1993 -- Intergraph Corporation (Huntsville, Ala.)
announced today the upcoming release of MicroStation Version 5. The
announcement was made at Windows World '93.

"With the announcement of MicroStation Version 5, Intergraph furthers its
commitment to bring users the highest level of functionality and
flexibility of any computer-aided design (CAD) package in the industry,"
said Loyd Tarver, executive director of MicroStation Product Center. "The
advancements go beyond adding new features and capabilities. Version 5
empowers the user to take complete advantage of MicroStation by closely
matching the user's working methods."

MicroStation, a key Intergraph application to port to Microsoft's Windows
NT operating system, supports Intergraph's commitment to Windows NT.
Version 5 will be available for DOS, Windows, Windows for Workgroups and
Windows NT operating environments as well as UNIX and Macintosh.

With MicroStation Version 5, users have the ability to both read and write
AutoCAD .dwg files. Other formats supported include IGES, CGM, and DXF.
Built-in SQL provides easy links to dBASE III+ file format (including
clones), Oracle and INFORMIX databases without programming.

MicroStation Version 5 offers greater usability with enhancements such as
Workspaces, customized environments that accommodate each user's level of
CAD experience and discipline. Users can also choose the interface with
which they feel most comfortable -- Windows or Motif. User-defined
linestyles (UDLs) allow users to create their own linestyles while saving
time and design file space requirements.

Dimension-driven design tools and associative patterning/hatching
capabilities allow users to quickly modify, measure and place multiple 2D
shapes, boosting the 2D drawing process. Version 5 offers advanced 3D
surface modeling tools including 3D Boolean operations and mass properties
analytical functions. With Version 5's new rendering functions, every CAD
user can now create photorealistic views and flythroughs of designs.

The list price for MicroStation Version 5 will be $3,790 (U.S.).
