NEW DYNOPAGE EXTENDS PRINTING OPTIONS FOR WINDOWS APPLICATIONS
Making Printing Personal to Fit Individual Needs

CUPERTINO, Calif. -- April 23, 1993 -- DynoPage, a new utility program that
enhances the printing capabilities of most Windows applications, was
announced today by Portfolio Software,

Shipping today, DynoPage 1.0 for Windows is a print application/driver that
allows users to print any file on any page size. Users can create
mini-pages for personal organizers, appointments books and calendars.
DynoPage also prints booklets, manuals, thumbnail proofs and trifold
brochures. Because DynoPage can print pages that are smaller than the
paper normally printed on -- 8-1/2 x 11 -- it can fit multiple pages on
each sheet of paper.

The product retails for $89.95, and is available from resellers
nation-wide, as well as direct from Portfolio. DynoPaper, special personal
organizer laser paper in 6-and 7-ring and A4 formats can be ordered from
Portfolio and resellers for use with DynoPage.

Brian Smiga, Portfolio's co-founder and general manager, said, "Printed
output is an important part of communication and presentation. With
DynoPage, you can extend the printing capabilities of your favorite
programs to get the type of personalized output you want such as booklets
and pages for Day Timers and Day Runners."

DynoPage is both a printer driver and an application. Users can set up
DynoPage to work transparently with all their Windows applications. The
program is installed through the standard Windows program manager. The
quick setup also includes an "un-install" option to easily remove the
program if necessary.

After initial setup, DynoPage takes over any application's print routine
and gives the user flexibility in how documents are printed. Dialog boxes
allow users to choose layouts, and provide information about print
options.

DynoPage extends the print options of most Windows software giving users
the added choices of double-sided and printing any page size including
formats for all personal organizers, thumbnails, brochures and booklets.
DynoPage ships with over 200 layouts including formats for Day-Timer, Day
Runner, Filofax, Franklin and other organizers.

A QuickStart tutorial is included with DynoPage, and a comprehensive
"reference" section in the manual lets users access information quickly.

As with all Portfolio products, DynoPage is packaged in all recycled or
recyclable materials.

Smiga added, "Macintosh users are passionate about DynoPage because it
enables them to extend their printing possibilities, and it will be
exciting to see Windows users experience the same benefits. One thing is
for sure -- DynoPage will help Windows users to make their printing more
personal."

Portfolio expects DynoPage technology to be widely licensed by companies
who want to bring booklet, personal organizer and portable printing to
their products. Companies interested in licensing DynoPage should contact
Cynthia J. DeForge, product marketing manager at Portfolio in Cupertino,
CA.
