ButtonWare Announces buttonFile for Windows
New Windows personal database at the touch of a button.

BELLEVUE, Washington, -- May 10, 1993 -- ButtonWare today announced the
Immediate shipment of buttonFile, a simple to use Windows flat filer.
Targeted for the easy-to-use and Inexpensive niche of the Windows market,
buttonFile allows names, companies, phone numbers. contacts, ally kind of
data, to be filed on over a dozen pre-defined card decks (databases). All
card decks can be customized, and data can be printed on over 100
pre-defined and customizeable forms. CEO Jim Button commented, "buttonFile
is easier to learn and use than any competing product. You don't even need
the manual!".

* Work with over a dozen pre-designed templates, or customize a card deck
(database) to fit individual needs. Templates include business contacts,
credit cards, home inventory, library, music inventory, personal contacts,
personnel, recipes, Rolodex card, software library, video library, note
cards and more.

* Multiple Document Interface (MDI) allows Multiple files to be open at the
same time. 

* View files as cards in a Rolodex (card) format, or in a spreadsheet-like
table view. 

* Print lists, mailing labels, 3x5 cards, envelopes, reports, including
Avery Dennison laser and tractor feed forms - point and click with a mouse
to customize. Over 100 predesigned forms to choose from! 

* Fully TrueType compatible, for individual selection of fonts and styles.

* Browse through data a card or a screenful at a time with index buttons.

* Search using "contains", "begins with", "sounds-like", "greater than".
AND/OR, wildcards, and more.

* Exchange data with a variety of popular software programs and file
formats: dBase, ASCII CSV (comma delimited), WordPerfect merge, Windows
Cardfile, PC-File by ButtonWare, and TakeNote by ButtonWare. 

* Auto-dial any phone number stored on a card. buttonFile also has a "Quick
Dial" feature that works the same as a telephone's speed dial. 

* File cards of variable length. Pre-designed or customized cards hold up
to 8K of information each.

* Sort data in any preferred order, up to three levels.

* Password protection and encryption.

* Powerful clipboard support.

* An Index Tab Bar lets the user immediately advance to the first card in
the file that begins with any letter In the alphabet, or to any number.

* The tool bar provides shortcuts to all of the most commonly used
features.

buttonFile requires a machine running Windows 3.0 or Windows 3.1, 1MB of
RAM, and a hard disk. It is available on 5-1/4" and 3-1/2" diskettes.
buttonFile is available through ButtonWare and the reseller channel at an
MSRP of $89.95 USD. A Local Area Network (LAN) version will be released in
