MOLDFLOW OFFERS COMPUTER-BASED-TRAINING PROGRAM EXPOUNDING SOUND MOLD
DESIGN PRINCIPLES

(Kalamazoo, Michigan -- April 28, 1993) Moldflow today announced the
introduction of a computer-based-training software package that explains
the principles of design for manufacture with plastics in a practical way.
Key topics covered include: molding economics, evaluating the design,
design principles, molding problems, introduction to computer-aided
engineering and an interactive case study. Application of the Moldflow
design principles explained in "Inside the Mold" will reduce injection
molding leadtime and manufacturing costs and improve quality. The package
also explains how these results can be maximized when the principles are
combined with proper application of computer-aided engineering technology
including flow, cooling and warpage analysis. The program is self-paced
and interactive and runs on IBM compatible 386 and higher computers with a
minimum of 2 Mb. RAM under Windows 3.1. Price is $500.

Moldflow has pioneered computerized analysis of plastic injection molding,
which improves product performance, reduces scrap, shortens design
leadtimes and lowers design and manufacturing costs. Products include:
MF/FLOW -- which predicts flow patterns and characteristics within the
mold; MF/COOL --- which analyzes the vital role of heat exchange and
temperature control in the mold; and MF/WARP software which analyzes the
net distortion of the actual molded part and helps determine its
