Marketing Management in building, maintaining and using databases of sales

long and complex.

New Features for Version 2.1 now announced are:

Fast and Accurate Data Entry - Market-Base Automatic Addressing feature
generates Town and County details directly from postcodes. This along with
Automatic Capitalisation ensures accurate spelling and presentation of
address details as well as reducing the number of keystrokes needed.

Suitable for Complex Sales Force Structures - The Market-Base Multi-Level
Rights System allows the various tiers of sales management to control and
monitor the activities of those for whom they are responsible.

Ensures that Relevant Information is Collected - Management have control
over how information is classified and can make the collection of chosen
information obligatory with the Market-Base Look-Up Fields and Mandatory
Fields.

Previously existing major features of Market-Base include look up tables to
ensure that information is entered in a consistent format making analysis
easier, a multi-level security system to prevent unauthorised access, an
alarm system which prompts for important actions and a letter writer and
mail merge function.

For Sales Managers Market-Base offers call planning and reporting,
quotation management and lead tracking as well as allowing analysis of
Sales Area performance and very importantly, ensures that a permanent
headquarters record of all prospects and sales activities is always kept.

For Marketing Managers the benefits include accurately targeted direct
mailing using the built in word processor, reports of promotional campaign
effectiveness, market segmentation and competitor analysis.

Market-Base can be used on a single headquarters based PC, a multiuser
network of PCs, or in distributed mode by field sales staff on portable
PCs. In the latter case each field sales person can be allowed access to
only their own region if required and information can be passed between
the portables and the headquarters PC.

Market-Base pricing starts at 595 British Pounds for the entry level
system.
