Intergraph's MGE to be First GIS Software Available on Windows NT

ATLANTA, May 24, 1993 -- The Modular GTS Environment (MGE) software from
Intergraph Corporation (Huntsville, Ala.) will be the first in the
geographic information system (GIS) market to be available on Microsoft
Windows NT.

The company will demonstrate MGE's capabilities this week at the Windows
World conference here.

According to Larry Ayers, vice president of Intergraph's Mapping Sciences
Division, "With this initiative, Intergraph expands its current operating
system options to include Windows NT in addition to UNIX. Customers will
be able to choose the operating environment they prefer, and Intergraph
will ensure smooth interoperabilily and data sharing for mixed network
environments."

MGE is a modular solution for capturing, integrating, analyzing and
presenting geographic information in applications such as infrastructure
and land management, environmental site remediation, transportation
modeling, petroleum exploration and many more. By making MGE applications
available on UNIX and Windows NT, Intergraph is addressing the needs of a
broader user base.

Windows NT is Microsoft's scalable, platform-independent, multitasking
operating system that brings 32-bit processing, the user-friendly Windows
graphical user interface and thousands of commercial applications to the
desktop. By fully supporting the Windows environment, Intergraph
applications smoothly integrate with users' office automation and other
standard tools to create a new "technical desktop," making Users more
productive.

Intergraph's MGE core products on Windows NT will be ready for release
during the second half of 1993. Solutions will be available on both
Intergraph's Clipper and Intel platforms.

"Intergraph provides solutions to customers' requirements, and making MGE
available on the desktop, both with UNIX and Windows NT, is a response to
an identified need," said Ayers.

MGE is No. 1 in overall customer satisfaction among GIS users, and
Intergraph leads in market share for both GIS hardware and software,
according to industry analyst Dataquest Incorporated. Intergraph
