The Personal Computer Guide to America's Best Restaurants

The PC Guide to America's Best Restaurants is the first personal computer
software program to review, in depth, all of the most interesting
restaurants in every major U.S. city, plus London and Paris. The
innovative program (that runs on Windows) allows the user to select from
over 3,000 restaurants by 24 different cuisine types, by neighborhood
location, by price, by name, by best buy, and by quality (star) rating. It
calculates the best buy within six separate price categories and displays
these recommendations in an instant. America's Best Restaurants was
released January 31.

Revised every six months, the price-comparative Guide covers all types of
restaurants that are rated from four stars down to one star, and each
restaurant is described in detail. Where applicable, a recent, critical
review from the local newspaper or magazine is excerpted and added to the
detailed description.

The restaurants are rated by a new consensus methodology which combines and
averages the opinions of many restaurant critics from national magazines
and newspapers such as Gourmet, Food & Wine, Travel & Leisure, The New
York Times, etc., and from the local press in each city such as, for
example, The Chicago Tribune and Chicago Magazine. Staff reviews are also
included and the result is a star rating (from one to four) that is very
reliable, and avoids the bias of a single reviewer.

A unique print utility allows the user to print out, with a single command,
either a simple listing of rated and price-ranked restaurants for each
city, or a complete restaurant guide to any one city.

America's Best Restaurants is sold on a subscription basis at an annual
cost of $49.95 which includes the free revision and update that is
automatically shipped every six months. A single issue may also be
purchased at any time at a cost of $34.95.

For Frequent Travelers: This personal computer guide to rated American
restaurants is aimed at the upscale traveler who owns a portable/laptop
computer, IBM or compatible, and who travels extensively and entertains
frequently. This new software will appeal to sales and marketing
executives; presidents and CEOs of small, middle-size and large companies;
consultants, lawyers, financial analysis, investment bankers, physicians,
dentists, and academics; leisure travelers, and home computer owners.

Much Better Information: A summary of unique product benefits would include
instant price comparisons, more information on each restaurant, low cost
per city, semi-annual revisions, location searchable program, and the
ability to print out any city for a trip. Here are the details:

Costs Less -- Our guide costs considerably less per city than a printed
guide, or exactly $1.35 per city when purchased on a subscription basis.
And of course a printed guide is bulky to carry, usually out of date the
day it is published, and cannot be searched quickly for price and
quality-of-service comparisons;

More Up-To-Date -- Our PC Restaurant Guide is completely updated every six
months, or four times as ofter as most printed guides. No other guide is
revised as completely nor is more up-to-date. Our editors are constantly
inputting new information, adding new restaurants and reviews, and
deleting those restaurants that have closed;

More Information -- Each restaurant is described in detail, plus there is
often incorporated a "critic's comment" that has been excerpted from a
recent magazine or newspaper review. In addition, the ambiance and service
is rated, and all of the special features are listed including credit
cards, entree prices, dress code, reservation policy, hours of operation,
valet parking, rated wine cellar and whether the restaurant is located in
a hotel;

Instant Price Comparisons -- You save both time and money by utilizing the
instantly-displayed price-and-value comparisons that are sorted by cuisine
category. There is often a savings of as much as $15.00 between the
highest priced restaurant, and the recommended best buys compiled by our
editors and the computer program;

Print A Guide -- If you want to print out a listing of restaurants for a
friend of colleague, or fax a description of a restaurant to a client, you
can print out either a summary listing of ranked restaurants, or a more
complete description of all restaurants within a given area. So you can
now become an instant authority on restaurants across the country!

Locations Emphasized -- You usually want to locate a good restaurant that
is convenient to your hotel or business appointment - something that is
difficult unless you know the city. Our guide makes it easy to pinpoint a
location and then pick an appropriate downtown, airport or suburban
restaurant, or search for the restaurant by name to ascertain its
location.

First of Its Kind: This new electronic restaurant guide is the
first-of-its-kind in several categories, including the fact that it
provides more than twice as much information as any printed guide, and is
the only restaurant guide that is updated twice a year. Other "firsts"
include the following four features:

* It is the only guide that allows the user to shop for the best value
(price vs. quality of food and service) among 24 types of cuisine, and it
is the only guide that allows the user to locate a restaurant to fit
his/her mood, and budget, within a specific neighborhood or city area;

* It is the first guide that utilizes a dependable, unbiased consensus
rating that incorporates and averages, across the board, the opinions of
every reputable restaurant reviewer and critic of national standing;

* It is the first personal computer restaurant guide to cover all of the 40
major U.S. destinations, plus London and Paris, in a comprehensive way,
i.e., it includes all of the restaurants that have been favorably reviewed
by a number of critics;

* There are over 3,000 restaurants included, ranging from the very best
(four star) down to the "best buys", which are usually the smaller, ethnic
restaurants and bistros.

UNIQUE SELECTION FEATURES: When you need to make an important last-minute
decision on which restaurant to choose for lunch or dinner, the following
features of "America's Best Restaurants" will make it easy to select the
right one:

* Star Rated/Price Ranked: Every restaurant is star-rated from the very
best haute cuisine (4 stars) down to the smaller, excellent bistros (1
star). And within each star-rating category, the restaurants are
price-ranked from high to low so you can immediately spot the best buy
within each star category.

* Twenty-Four Cuisine Types: All restaurants are divided by 24 cuisine
types from American to Mediterranean in order that you can easily select
the kind of food you want. You can then select a price and
quality-of-service range within the cuisine group that fits your mood and
budget.

* Specialty Dishes Listed: For the dedicated gourmet, two to three
specialty dishes are listed for most restaurants, and special desserts are
highlighted when the delivery is truly awesome. Hours open, days closed,
prices, credit cards and other important features are always included.

* Critics Comments Included: To assist you in making a final choice from
the hundreds of restaurants available (220 restaurants listed for New York
City alone!), a recent critical review is excerpted and added to the
general description of the restaurants' ambiance, service, decorations,
etc. This second opinion may be positive or negative, but it is always
taken from a knowledgeable local reviewer who knows the restaurant scene.

EASY-TO-USE PROGRAM: This software is very easy to install and use, with
pop-up menus that require only four keys to access and change. There is a
printed user guide with each program, plus the same guide is installed
under HELP on the diskette. There is also a toll-free user support number
(800-645-9777) that can be called for special assistance.

The program runs on any IBM or compatible with 640K memory using DOS 2.0 or
higher, and requires a high-density disk drive (1.44MB). The user can
choose whether to load the 1.5-megabyte program on the hard disk, or
access the data from the floppy drive. There is a special Windows install
program that includes a TravelData icon in the program directory, and an
alpha search routine that allows you to search for a restaurant by name.

CITIES COVERED: The thirty-nine major U.S. destinations, plus the two most
popular foreign destinations (London and Paris) that are covered in great
detail by "America's Best Restaurants," are as follows:

Anaheim, Atlanta, Baltimore, Beverly Hills, Boston, Chicago, Century City,
