NDX ACCELERATOR CARD BRINGS HIGH-END NEUROCOMPUTING TO DESKTOP PC'S

Card Trains Neural Nets 100 Times Faster Than 486 PC

San Francisco, CA IEEE International Conference on Neural Networks -- March
29, 1993 -- NeuroDynamX, Inc. (NDX) announced today the NDX Neural
Accelerator XP50, a PC expansion card for developing advanced artificial
neural network applications.

The XP50 significantly reduces the processing time required to train
real-world neural network applications, such as pattern recognition,
signal classification, image processing, or financial forecasting.
Networks that require 3 hours to train on a 486/25, converge in under 2
minutes with the XP50.

To accommodate large training sets and complex networks, the XP50 features
8 megabytes of RAM. Memory can be upgraded to 64 megabytes with optional
daughter cards. Additional daughter cards are available for SCSI,
DT-Connect, ITI VISIONbus, Digital Camera Interface and True-Color Frame
Buffer interfaces.

The XP50 employs an Intel i860 RISC processor operating at 50 MHz to
deliver up to 45 million connections per second in recall mode. During
training, the XP50 delivers up to 15 million connection updates per
second. The XP50 plugs into the standard AT/ISA bus expansion slot.

The XP50 includes a special version of NDX' s DynaMind neural network
training software, for training Back Prop and recurrent networks. DynaMind
features graphical training displays, accepts training data from
spreadsheets and databases, and offers On-Line Help and a tutorial-based
User's Guide.

As an early purchase incentive, NDX offers a free copy of DynaMind
Developer with boards purchased before May 15, 1993. The Developer bundles
DynaMind training software with several run-time options, including
linkable C-code routines and simulation of Intel's 80170NX ETANN neural
network IC.

The XP50 is also compatible with NDX's iDynaMind neural network IC training
software shipped with the Intel Neural Network Training System.

The NDX Neural Accelerator XP50 requires a 286, 386 or 486 PC/AT with a
standard ISA expansion slot. The NDX Neural Accelerator is currently
available at the price of $8, 995.

DynaMind and DynaMind Developer run on a 286, 386 or 486 PC with at least
640K RAM, DOS 3.0 or higher and an EGA or VGA monitor. A mouse and math
coprocessor are optional. The NeuroLink C-code routines compile under
Borland Turbo C 2.0, Turbo C++ and Borland C++ and carry no run-time
license fee.

The DynaMind Developer package is currently available at the price of $495
