LANPrint 2.1
Universal Network Printer Selection for Windows

LANPrint enables users to attach and detach network printers without any
knowledge of queue names or network addresses, and without navigation of
the Control Panel's many confusing screens.

LANPrint makes sure that output goes to the printer the user expects, and
makes sure it is formatted correctly--no more pages of PostScript code in
the LaserJet output tray; no more memos and letters printed in black and
white on the color printer.

If you run Windows on your network, here's why you need LANPrint:

* Users select printers to attach from a list of plain English
descriptions that you write: no queue names, no network
  addresses.

* Attach network printers (or detach them to the printer he is
attaching on the port he permit local printing)--with one click
  of the mouse.

* The Windows printer setup screen is a mouse click away from
  the LANPrint main window.

* Changing the Windows default printer is simple and easy--and
does not involve the Control Panel.

* LANPrint works with any Windows supported network, including
Novell, Banyan Vines, IBM PC-LAN, LAN Manager, DEC Pathworks,
  and others.

NEW!

With version 2.1, you can configure LANPrint, using command-line
parameters, to attach a single printer to a single port, without ever
displaying the main screen. In this way, users can double-click on an icon
to attach a particular printer. Set up Program Manager icon groups of
printers according to printer type or location!

Here's how LANPrint works:

When a user clicks the LANPrint ATTACH Button, LANPrint checks his Windows
configuration and lets him know if he is trying to attach a printer that
he does not have installed.

If the printer is installed, LANPrint automatically adjusts the user's
Windows configuration (if necessary) to include the printer he is
attaching on the port he is attaching it to.

Finally, LANPrint automatically makes the attached printer the Windows
default printer--and notifies all open applications, so that the next
print request defaults to the printer just attached.

$149 per file server--unlimited users!
