PIXELINK EXTENDS HIGH-SPEED WINDOWS, X WINDOWS DOCUMENT IMAGING SYSTEMS
WITH LARGE-SCREEN FLICKERFREE COLOR MONITORS

March 29, 1993 -- HUDSON, Mass. -- Pixelink Corporation today announced it
will offer customers for its 120XDS Windows and UNIX/X Windows document
display systems the option to select ultra-high resolution 21-inch color
monitors, featuring a flicker-free 76Hz screen refresh rate that preserves
the 120 dots per inch clarity and detail of Windows and X Windows-based
color page images.

Pixelink Marketing and Sales Director Bill Ingraham explained, "We're the
first industry vendor who can offer a high-performance document imaging
solution with interchangeable color or gray scale monitors. Color or gray
scale, the 120XDS system still offers the same great features, including
Windows acceleration, 120 dpi resolution, and 76Hz screen refresh rate."
With flicker-free 21-inch color monitors as a simple upgrade path,
Pixelink 120XDS customers can choose either gray scale or color to fit
their document display tasks or budgets, without compromising display
quality or ergonomics.

According to Ingraham, "If a customer chooses a 21-inch color display
system from Pixelink, there is no change in CRT refresh rate. This isn't
true for other imaging solution vendors. Screen refresh rates for large
color monitors drop by almost 20 percent, compared to the same gray scale
system. This performance gap increases the likelihood that images will
flicker on their color screens. Pixelink customers won't have to sacrifice
user viewing comfort or page clarity to get color performance." Since the
same 120XDS board runs either monitor, companies can purchase gray scale
now and graduate later to color, or swap 120XDS color and gray scale
displays around the organization, as staff assignments and needs change.

Introduced last November at the Federal Imaging Conference and Exposition
in Washington, D.C., the Pixelink 120XDS system can run Microsoft Windows
3.1-based document display tasks significantly faster than current
PC-based offerings. The UNIX/X Windows version delivers up to 70,000
Xstones while displaying 1600 x 1200 images, the industry's highest
performance for PC-based X Windowing systems.

Based on a non-interlaced 200MHz graphics controller from Number Nine
Computer Corporation that accelerates both text and graphics display
performance, the 120XDS lets users see two document pages simultaneously
displayed onscreen at 120 dpi (or 1600 x 1200 pixels) resolution. Even
with this ultra-high resolution displaying more document "real estate",
users can closely examine specific document sections using the 120 XDS
Hawkeye zoom feature. With the touch of a single key, users can magnify
the entire screen by up to 8x, then scroll and pan over the magnified
section with the mouse.

Gray scale versions of 120XDS Windows and 120XDS UNIX/X Windows document
imaging display systems are priced at $2,695. Selecting the 2 l-inch color
monitor option adds $2,000 to the system price. Headquartered here,
Pixelink provides high-performance display systems to OEMs, system
integrators and corporate users throughout North America. Pixelink
specializes in integrating grayscale and color monitors with video
controllers, to deliver high-resolution document imaging systems that meet
challenging customer requirements in government, university, business,
science, engineering, medical, and graphic arts applications.
