VENTANA OPENS THE WINDOW TO AMERICA ONLINE'S LATEST RELEASE

This year's dramatic upsurge in the sale of Windows applications signals
the real acceptance of Windows by everyday computer users. America Online
stands ready with a full-featured Windows interface, a new service
showcased by Ventana Press's The Official America Online for Windows
Membership Kit & Tour Guide, by Tom Lichty.

The Ventana kit is the first opportunity for retail customers to purchase a
complete Windows-based online package, including software and support. It
includes operating software and a bonus of ten free hours of online time,
the only such offer available for current as well as new members.

The 410-page Tour Guide, by veteran America Online scout Tom Lichty,
escorts members through America Online's "countryside," pointing out the
Windows landmarks along the way: new multi-tasking capabilities, support
of tiling and cascade features, pull-down menus, tool bars and more.

"America Online's Windows-like format has always been its great appeal, and
as a full-featured Windows product, it can only become more attractive,"
says Ventana president Josef Woodman. "Our package serves two markets: it
introduces current members to the new Windows capabilities while showing
new members the impressive range of services for which America Online is
known." These services include electronic mail, conferencing, computing
support, online classes, news, stock quotes, travel and shopping, and
hobbies.

Author Tom Lichty's America Online Tour Guides have been favorites among
America Online members since the introduction of the Macintosh and PC
versions in 1992. The Official America Online for Windows Membership Kit &
Tour Guide is softcover, 7 3/8" X 9 1/4", 410 pages, with accompanying
America Online membership disk. Suggested retail price, $34.95. ISBN
1-56604-013-2.
