Franklin Quest Co. Introduces Software To Aid In Setting And Reaching
Goals

Salt Lake City, Utah; December 1, 1992--Franklin Quest Co. (NYSE:FNQ), a
leading time management training company, announced today the release of a
new software package called Values Quest. Values Quest contains two main
components--a values and goals planning tool and a phone and address list
manager.

Each month, Franklin teaches thousands of individuals in its time
management seminars the importance of creating a "Personal Productivity
Pyramid". The Personal Productivity Pyramid is a concept taught by
Franklin to help individuals identify their "governing values" and to
strategically plan long-range and intermediate goals to incorporate these
values into their daily lives. The software takes a user step-by-step
through the process of selecting his or her core governing values. The
software offers a large list of sample values along with statements that
help clarify each value. The user simply makes any necessary changes to
the supplied values and clarifying statements, adds any unique values not
supplied with Values Quest, then prints out their pyramid.

"Values Quest is a very exciting product for me," said Hyrum Smith, chief
executive officer for Franklin. "It is one that I have been thinking about
since we started the company. For a number of years, customers have gone
through the Franklin Time Management seminar and have asked us to play a
larger role in helping establish their Personal Productivity Pyramids.
Values Quest was created in response to that request."

In addition to the values and goals section, Values Quest contains a
complete list manager for address and phone information. Values Quest will
print phone directories, envelopes and labels. Values Quest will also auto
dial phone numbers and import and export data.

Values Quest is compatible with Franklin's full-featured personal
information manager, Ascend, allowing Values Quest users to upgrade to
Ascend without loosing any data. Values Quest is available in both
Microsoft Windows and Macintosh formats and prints on either Franklin Day
Planner forms or blank 8 1/2" x 11" paper. A DOS version is under
development.

Values Quest is developed and marketed by Franklin Quest Co., a leading
provider of training seminars and products designed to improve individual
productivity through effective time management. More than one million
individuals currently use the Franklin Day Planner system.

The suggested list price for Values Quest is $49.95.
