San Rafael, CA--September 29, 1992--StereoGraphic Corporation today
announced a new family of 3D stereo large screen projection systems based
on its patented CrystalEYES glasses. The glasses are combined with large
screen projection systems manufactured for StereoGraphics by Electrohome,
Ltd., Kitchener, Ontario, a world leader in projection technology.

StereoGraphics is the world's leading supplier of true three-dimensional
electronic stereoscopic display products for scientific, business,
medical, education, video and entertainment markets. The company's
products are based on 13 granted patents and are the industry standard for
true 3D viewing.

CrystalEYES is a lightweight stereo 3D eyewear system that permits users to
view three-dimensional spatial information on computer monitors and large
screen projection systems.

Three projection system models allow users to project 3D stereo images from
a variety of sources -- workstations, PCs, live video and VCRs - onto
screens from five to 25 feet. The units are microprocessor-based with
optional 45-zone automatic convergence for the three lenses. Simple to set
up and operate, the projectors feature on-screen menus and are controlled
by an infrared remote keypad.

Wil Cochran, StereoGraphics' vice president of sales and marketing, said,
"For the first time, stereo viewing on large screens is possible. Until
now, it has been only available on PCs and workstations. Now a wide
variety of images -- such as education, employee training, medical
imaging, scientific visualization and molecular modeling, to name a few-
can be projected in 3D stereo for large scale viewing by mass audiences."

"StereoGraphics is the industry leader in 3D stereo viewing," said Ed
McGreehan, Electrohome's national accounts sales manager. ' Their
successes in several key markets have encouraged us to jointly exploit
significant market opportunities - entertainment, medical and video - as
they move rapidly to 3D stereo."

Both companies noted the breadth of applications afforded by the
combination of system elements. From training - where small processes or
microscopic images can now be projected--in manufacturing, quality control
medicine and law courts -- to entertainment, business conferences,
computer training, simulation, molecular modeling and boardroom
presentations.

The projection systems are integrated with the CrystalEYES eyewear and
emitter, which require only a stereo-ready signal from the input source,
whether workstation, PC, live video or VCR.

The projection systems automatically lock on any scan frequency from 15-85
KHz (70MHz bandwidth) and connect to inputs from video and data/graphics
terminals. The microprocessor allows a user selection of up to 48 input
sources. Memory also stores setup commands for brightness, contrast,
convergence and picture size in conjunction with the input sources.

CrystalEYES systems produce a true 3D image on projection screens and
computer monitors. The patented CrystalEYES eyewear alternate left and
right images at 120 frames per second, thereby creating true flicker-free,
full-color depth perception. Additionally, the CrystalEYES VR (virtual
reality) product projects a stereo image interacting via an ultrasound
head-tracking device creating six degrees of freedom. The viewer interacts
with the image through head movements while viewing in true 3-D, creating
a startling visual experience.

CrystalEYES VR is also available in a version that permits total immersion
in an environment of the user's choice. He can participate with or without
others during the experience, as displayed at Siggraph '92 by the CAVE, a
high-resolution virtual reality experience created by The University of
Chicago in collaboration with StereoGraphics. The CAVE experience was made
possible through the use of CrystalEYES VR and StereoGraphics/Electrohome
large screen projectors.

Availability, Pricing and installation. Three systems are available now
directly through StereoGraphics at the following list prices: The
StereoECP 2100(S) is $11,400; the StereoECP 3100(S) is $14,400; and the
StereoECP 4100(S) is $21,400. The CrystalEYES eyewear and emitter are
priced separately at $1,300.00. Retrofit kits are also available to
convert existing projection systems to 3D stereo viewing.

Screens, installation and set-up is available through Electrohome
factory-trained dealers nationwide. Installation is also available through
other projection system dealers.

Stereo-ready computers compatible with StereoGraphics eyewear and
projection systems include Silicon Graphics, the Sun 2GT and 10GT, the
Hewlett-Packard Apollo models, Intergraph and Evans & Sutherland.
StereoGraphics also provides hardware solutions to convert most other
computers and workstations (including Apple) to "stereo compatible."

Electrohome Ltd., a Canadian corporation founded in 1907, is one of the
world's leading manufacturers of large screen projection systems. The
company is focused on two business areas, broadcast communications in
Canada and commercial electronics, with offices in Canada, the U.S. and
England reaching over 40 countries worldwide. The projection systems
operation manufactures and markets a complete line of large screen
data/graphics and video projectors, and has been the industry pioneer
since the introduction of the first monochrome projector in 1979 and the
first single lens color projector in 1983. Electrohome is located in
Kitchener, Ontario.

StereoGraphics Corp., founded in 1980 and now the world's leading
manufacturer of true stereo viewing systems, invented and developed the
market for modern electrostereoscopic displays. CrystalEYES
workstation-based products as well as its complete line of compatible
stereo large-screen projection and stereo video camera system products are
available directly from the company. Due to its capability and reasonable
price, the CrystalEYES stereo viewing system has been accepted as
breakthrough hardware technology for stereo viewing. StereoGraphics is
located at 2171 East Francisco Boulevard, San Rafael, California 94901,
phone 415/459-4500, Fax 415/459-3020.
