ARTISOFT EXPANDS SUPPORT AND SERVICES TO RESELLER CHANNEL

Offers Free MCI Mailbox and Intensive Technical Training Seminars To Five
Star Dealers; Expands Five Star Program Into Canada

(TUCSON, AZ--August 25,1992)--Artisoft, Inc. announced today that it is
expanding its reseller channel support and services by offering all
Artisoft Authorized Five Star Dealers a free MCI mailbox to link them to
Artisoft Corporate Headquarters and by offering the Artisoft Tech Talk
Forum, an intensive technical training seminar. In addition, Artisoft has
established a Canadian Five Star Dealer Program for its Canadian dealers.

"We are excited to provide this valuable support to our resellers," stated
Dave Hallmen, Artisoft's Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "These
programs are specifically designed to enhance our communication with
resellers and provide them with the most comprehensive product and
technical support in the industry."

Designed to heighten the success of Artisoft's lead management system,
Artisoft's MCI Mail program sets up each Five Star dealer with a full,
interactive mailbox so that they can receive qualified leads immediately
from Artisoft Corporate Headquarters. With this program, dealers receive a
free annual subscription fee and full use of the MCI Mail services.

The MCI Mail program is being offered as an option to Artisoft's current
online fax lead referral system. Instituted earlier this year, the MCI
system provides Five Star dealers with same-day distribution and
fulfillment of prequalified leads generated by ads, trade shows and other
marketing activities. The lead management system also allows Artisoft to
create a marketable end-user/dealer database for survey distribution and
Business Development Group (BDG) seminar recruitment; increase advertising
and trade show effectiveness by responsive tracking of successes generated
by these activities; and distribute monthly communication packages for
Artisoft dealers, distributors and BDG representatives as well as monthly
sales reports for dealer management.

Another new program for resellers is the extension of the Artisoft
Authorized Five Star Dealer program to Canada. Modeled after Artisoft's
successful Five Star Dealer program in the U.S., this program is designed
to ensure that each dealer is qualified with appropriately trained
personnel and demonstration facilities to provide for maximum sales and
top quality support and service.

Once qualified, dealers receive such significant benefits as enhanced
technical and product support; MCI Mail or on-line fax lead referrals;
bulletin board service for updates, notices and patches; regularly updated
product and corporate information; added sales support from Business
Development Group representatives; and promotional materials.

The third new program is the Artisoft Tech Talk Forum, which provides
resellers with intensive technical training through seminars. The first
Tech Talk Forum was held August 15-16 at Artisoft Headquarters in Tucson,
Arizona and allowed resellers to meet with Artisoft's Chairman and CEO,
Jack Schoof, and top engineering and technical personnel to discuss
advanced LANtastic issues.

Subsequent forums will be scheduled every six months. For the price of
their registration, all Tech Talk participants receive a videotape of the
meetings, and all meals and hotel accommodations.

Artisoft develops and manufactures a full line of hardware and software for
local area networks including the LANtastic Local Area Network. The
LANtastic network is recognized as the leader in peer-to-peer networking
for DOS and Windows environments and has won numerous industry awards for
its cost-effective features, performance, and ease of use. It allows up to
300 users of IBM-compatible computers to connect and share information and
peripheral devices such as printers, hard drives and CD-ROMs. The
LANtastic network and other Artisoft connectivity products are distributed
in nearly 70 countries worldwide.
