SIX CD-ROM PUBLISHERS JOIN EXPANDED ELECTRONIC ARTS AFFILIATED LABEL
PROGRAM

SAN MATEO, Calif., July 29--Electronic Arts will distribute CD-ROM software
for six publishers through a strategic expansion of its affiliated labels
program, the company announced today.

Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) will begin to distribute CD-ROM titles in
August to meet the increasing demand for these products, according to
Nancy Smith, vice president for sales.

The six CD-ROM publishers joining the Electronic Arts Distribution (EAD)
program are: Ebook; Humongous Entertainment, Inc.; ICOM Simulations, Inc.;
NovaLogic; Pop Rocket, Inc.; and Zelos!.

"As we bring the best of the CD ROM publishers into our AL program,
Electronic Arts will work with retailers to develop this important new
product category," said Smith. "This program will help ensure that
Electronic Arts and our affiliated publishers maintain a market-leading
position in interactive entertainment."

Other ongoing members of the EAD program include Millennium, Mindcraft
Software, Inc., Strategic Simulations, Inc., and Three Sixty Pacific,
Inc.

"As the industry's leading affiliated label program in North America,
Electronic Arts remains committed to presenting-the best of the
independent publishers through the broadest retail channel possible," said
Kelly Conway, director of affiliated labels.
