Washington, D.C. - June 23, 1992 - Group Technologies Corp. will introduce
its new PC-compatible GT-100 handheld computer designed to military
specifications for rugged, high reliability usage in commercial,
industrial, military, DoD and Federal/State government markets. The unit
will be demonstrated in Booth 2144 at the AFCEA show in Washington D.C.,
June 23 through 25, 1992.

The GT-100 is designed for remote data collection, distribution and
processing where user mobility, near real-time information access and
resistance to severe environments is required. This ranges from outdoor,
mobile and factory situations to battlefield, shipboard and airborne
applications.

"Using Group Technologies' new GT-100 handheld computer is like having the
power of a primary computer in the palm of your hand," said Carl
McCormick, president of Group Technologies. "This rugged unit eliminates
tedious paperwork and increases efficiency and productivity by providing
fast feedback, on-site job control and data validation in any
environment."

The handheld (6.3-inch by 4.4-inch by 2.0-inch) lightweight (28 oz. with
battery) device features DOS compatibility, a 10-line by 26-character
Supertwist LCD display, alphanumeric 48-key keypad, and multiple
input/output interface capability. The keypad is replaceable and can be
customized for user-designed application functions. Unit power is provided
by either standard 9 volt alkaline or lithium battery, three 2/3A lithium
batteries, and/or a rechargeable NICAD battery pack.

The GT-100 handheld computer is prices at $1795.00 with volume pricing
available upon request.

The GT-100 comes with standard 512Kbytes of PSRAM, a ROM version of DOS,
64Kbytes of EEPROM and a 512Kbyte Flash EPROM disk. A wide range of user
software storage options include database storage, application program
storage and set-up file storage. Additional memory storage is available
with memory expansion options up to 4 megabytes.

Customer application software can be developed using any DOS compatible
microcomputer and downloaded directly into the GT-100. Data files may be
exchanged between I/O compatible devices. This capability allows users to
extend PC applications into a rugged field environment.

Designed to operate in the most rugged environments, the GT-100 handheld
computer meets both MIL-SPEC and MIL-STD requirements for tactical manpack
equipment with a mean time between failure of 20,000 (calculated) hours.
The unit also meets the environmental MIL-STD-810D requirements for
humidity, rain, immersion, vibration, salt fog fungus, temperature (-20
degrees C to +70 degrees C), sand and dust, solar radiation, explosive
atmosphere, bounce loose cargo, 4 foot shock drop open and dosed, chemical
resistance, as well as EMI/RFI MIL-STD-461C, and TEMPEST 5100A standard.
