INTERACTIVE RELEASES M-MAIL 3.0 AT PC EXPO NEW YORK

HUMBOLDT, SD, June 29, 1993 -- InterActive Inc. today announced the release
of M-Mail 3.0. M-Mail puts the full power of the human senses into the
user's daily computer communications with multimedia voice, pictures,
graphics and text. Current M-Mail users will find many new and convenient
features as well as additional standard e-mail functions and, for the
first-time user, a friendlier user interface.

Mr. Gary Kappenman, President/CEO of InterActive stated that "M-Mail 3.0
has set the stage for the computer to evolve from its primary 'fancy
typewriter/fancy calculator' classification to a much more useful working
partner for business managers. "

New M-Mail features include auto color conversion, printing of multimedia
elements, such as pictures and text without leaving M-Mail, message
forwarding with annotation, OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) support,
and a royalty-free playback capability. New e-mail functions include
receipt and message read notification, priority sending levels, and a
message status pull down menu.

When a 256-color image is scanned or captured into an M-Mail message,
M-Mail will now automatically convert it to 16-color gray scale if the
recipient only has 16 colors available. The user simply highlights the
element within the M-Mail message and selects print for a hard copy of
that image or text document.

Also added was message forwarding with annotation, which allows the
recipient to annotate a message received and then forward the message to a
new recipient.

M-Mail 3.0 now also supports OLE for those users who wish to save time and
convey more information by sending a multimedia message as an embedded
icon in text based e-mail packages, such as cc:Mail or Microsoft Mail.

When an M-Mail message is sent to a recipient who does not have M-Mail on
their system, M-Play, a royalty-free playback capability included in
M-Mail, will allow the recipient to play the integrated multimedia
message. It is recommended that users have a PC audio device for playback,
but it is not required since M-Play will direct all audio files to the
computer's internal speaker if an audio device is not installed.

With M-Mail 3.0, the sender of a message can request a receipt when
Notification is given to the recipient as well as when the message is
Read. There are now three priority sending levels for the user to select
when forwarding their M-Mail: Priority, Medium or Low level. The recipient
selects the time interval for notification based on these priority levels.
There is also a Message Status pull down menu that automatically updates
M-Mail for quick reference to both current status and history.

M-Mail 3.0 supports video frame capture boards from Creative Labs, Video
Logic, and Media Graphics, TWAIN compatible input devices such as the
Logitech ScanMan, the Pentax flatbed scanner, and Logitech's FotoMan
digital camera. Windows 3.1 audio devices supported include the
InterActive SoundXchange, Creative Labs Sound Blaster and Microsoft's
Windows Sound System.

Suggested retail price for M-Mail 3.0 is $89 in single user quantities. A
one hundred additional user license is only $29.75 per user. Upgrade
prices are $24.95 for a single user and a network upgrade is only $49.95
per file server. M-Mail is available through Ingram Micro dealers and
directly from InterActive.
