BEST-SELLING "MORPH" COMES TO WINDOWS

Gryphon Software's Award Winning Special Effects "Morphing" Technology Now
Available For Windows On The PC

San Diego--Gryphon Software Corporation today announced that its critically
acclaimed special effects program, Morph, is now compatible with Microsoft
Windows for IBM and compatible personal computers. First introduced for
the Apple Macintosh computer, Morph now enables PCs running Windows to
perform morphing a two-dimensional special effect that smoothly transforms
one still image into another. Scheduled to ship in June, Morph will debut
this spring at Windows World in Atlanta. The suggested retail price of
Morph for Windows is $169.

"The Morph craze just took off when we brought a high-end special effect,
previously seen only in films like Terminator II or on MTV, to the
computer desktop. The key is that we made it very affordable and extremely
easy to use," said Mike Malone, president of Gryphon Software. "If Morph's
run-away success in the Mac market is a preview of things to come, we
anticipate capturing the imagination of the million-plus Windows users
with Morph's dazzling special effects."

According to Malone, Morph has been heralded as one of the most innovative
software applications introduced in the last year. Most recently, Gryphon
received two top awards at the annual Software Publishers Association
(SPA) 1993 Excellence in Software Awards, the "Oscars" of the software
industry. Morph received "Codies" for Best Business Application: Graphic
or Display and Best Personal Creativity Program. Earlier this year, Morph
was the recipient of the BYTE Magazine "Award of Distinction" for 1993.
Morph was also a MacUser Eddy Award finalist, one of the Macintosh
industry's most prestigious award competitions.

"Morph is appealing to so many diverse markets, from architects to plastic
surgeons to educators," said Duane Maxwell, chief technology officer of
Gryphon Software. "Video and graphics professionals are also embracing
Morph and the results are being seen in a number of places -- on a recent
cover of TIME Magazine, in national T.V. commercials and in feature films,
such as Spielberg's soon-to-be-released Jurassic Park'."

Morph is capable of using graphics generated from Windows-compatible
painting and drawing programs as well as digitized or scanned images.
Using a starting and ending image, that appear side by side on the
computer screen, Morph allows the user to transform one image into
another. Using two faces, for example, the user clicks on an eye in one
image and the same corresponding point automatically appears on the other.
After several key points have been matched and adjusted on the images, the
user then specifies the number of intervening frames needed. Morph
calculates the appearance of each frame and creates the morph animation.

The resulting morph can be saved as a Video for Windows movie, FLI or FLC
animation. The animations can then be placed on video tape or film for
commerical-quality output. Single still image or series of images can also
be saved in a variety of common file formats including TIFF, GIF or
Targa.

Recommended system requirements for the Windows version of Morph are as
follows: minimum IBM-PC/386 or compatible CPU; 5MB RAM; Microsoft Windows
3.1; hard drive (40MB or greater recommended); mouse (for pointing and
clicking); and a VGA display offering a minimum of 256 colors.

Morph is available worldwide through major computer store chains and mail
order houses, including CompUSA, Computer City, PC Connection,
MicroWarehouse and PC Zone. The product is also available through leading
microcomputer distributors--Ingram Micro, Merisel and SoftKat.
