HSC Software Announces Digital Morph for Windows

Advanced Image Manipulation and Video Generation Now Available for Windows
Users

May 24, 1993 -- SANTA MONICA, CA--HSC Software today introduced the first
morphing software for Windows, Digital Morph. Digital Morph brings
advanced still image, animation and Video for Windows special effects,
including sophisticated morphing and image warping capabilities
(traditionally reserved for high-end 3D imaging systems) to Windows.

"We can now bring Terminator 2-type morphing effects to the Windows
environment. Users can now transform uniformed police officers into
silvery robots, tabby cats can become growling lions, and upscale software
execs can be morphed into surfers," said John Wilczak, President and CEO
of HSC Software.

Digital Morph provides easy-to-use image manipulation tools for multimedia
producers, graphic artists, animators, and business presenters who will
now be able to add exciting visual impact to sales and marketing
presentations, computer-based advertising and trade show demonstrations.
End users at home will be able to have fun developing television style
morphs and image warps of their own images.

Digital Morph allows users to morph from one still image to another or
between moving images. Bit-mapped images (all major file formats are
supported in 8- or 24-bit) can be morphed as well as Video for Windows
(.AVI) and Autodesk Animator (.FLC) files. Digital Morph also performs
warps where an image can be distorted by moving points on a grid. Worphs
(warped morphs) can also be performed, generating animation or Video for
Windows files.

The program includes a number of painting tools to further manipulate
morphed and warped images. These include continuous tone blending, color
wash, and tints. Colors can be pulled from one area of the image to
another. Portions of an image can be cut out and then moved, sized,
scaled, and rotated.

Morphs, warps, and cutouts can be animated from within Digital Morph and
played back using the Windows Media Player, Autodesk Animation Player, or
HSC InterActive.

The minimum systems requirements for Digital Morph include a 386SX computer
with 2mb of RAM and a VGA graphics card, although 4mb of RAM and a high
color card are recommended for best results.

Digital Morph will ship during the first week of July, 1993 and will have a
suggested retail price of $149.00. Digital Morph can be seen at PC Expo at
HSC Software (booth #461) daily throughout the show.
