ATLANTA -- May 24, 1993 -- (COMDEX-Windows World Booth #M6622) Claris
Corporation today announced licensing agreements for ClarisWorks for
Windows with the Computer Systems Division of Toshiba America Information
Systems, Inc., the IBM Personal Computer Company and EduQuest, the IBM
company serving the home computer market.

The licensing agreements mean that ClarisWorks for Windows will be bundled
with select Toshiba notebooks in the retail channel and IBM PS/ValuePoint
and EduQuest computers through direct retail marketing.

ClarisWorks for Windows, a revolutionary new integrated (or "works")
software solution from Claris, shipped last month in the U.S.

its market-share growth," said Terry Bollons, Claris director of OEM
sales. "ClarisWorks for Windows is the ideal productivity solution for a
wide range of users -- from new Windows users to laptop, small business

are providing customers with the key productivity solution they need in
one very accessible package," said Steve Lair, vice president of marketing
for Toshiba's Computer System Division. "With its standard-setting
integration and robust features, ClarisWorks for Windows is an excellent
match for our new notebook computers."

Based on market share estimates from International Data Corporation,
Toshiba is the leader among IBM-compatible notebook computers, with 20
percent market share in 1992.

ClarisWorks sets standard for integrated software

tear-off palettes and simultaneous database browse/layout views.

ClarisWorks delivers a breadth of robust features that are designed to meet
the needs of a wide variety of users including first-time PC owners, home
office and small to medium-sized businesses, laptop users, students and
educators. The product includes powerful word processing and page layout
options such as multiple columns, footnotes and linked text frames for
creating professional looking documents.

A comprehensive set of powerful graphics tools and an array of pop-up
color, pattern and pen palettes enable users to design and manipulate
graphics quickly and easily.

Borrowing from Claris' award-winning database, FileMaker Pro, ClarisWorks
offers a comprehensive set of database management capabilities that enable
users to instantly start creating and modifying databases and generating
professional reports.

ClarisWorks also features powerful spreadsheet capabilities, including 100
