-----------------------------------------------------------------

Meeting Maker XP is a group scheduling tool that makes it easy to schedule
meetings, plan activities, keep a prioritized to-do list, and coordinate
calendars with other Meeting Maker XP users on a network - whether you're
on an all-Windows network, on an all Macintosh network or at a site
running both platforms.

Contacting people and finding a meeting time when everyone is available can
be a real challenge - especially if you need to bring together a large
group from different areas of the company. Meeting Maker XP cuts down on
telephone tag and schedule juggling, saving you hours of time.

With Meeting Maker XP, your PC or Macintosh handles all the routine work of
arranging a meeting or finding common free times, distributing agendas,
collecting responses, and notifying attendees when the particulars of a
meeting change.

Incorporating the features and functionality that made the award-winning
Meeting Maker 1.5 a major success in the Macintosh marketplace, Meeting
Maker XP was completely redesigned and is truly interoperable. It shares
over 70% common code between the two vastly different graphical
environments.

At the heart of Meeting Maker XP is the ability to seamlessly propose,
coordinate and manage meetings with co-workers running on either platform
over the network. The "Propose Meeting" feature allows users to schedule a
time and date, select required guests, reserve conference rooms and
resources, prepare agendas, and send attachments. The "AutoPick" feature
automatically finds the first available time for all required attendees.
The current status of each proposed meeting can also be closely tracked.

The product also includes: a personal calendar for individual appointments
and activities; monthly, weekly and daily views and the ability to work
from any of them; "proxy" access, which allows other people to act on your
behalf, and the ability to view multiple colleagues' calendars at the same
time; group to-dos, allowing colleagues to create to-do (with dates) and
add other users as participants; configuarable reminders for meetings and
activities with a snooze option; and support for a variety of printing
formats - Day Runner, Filofax, Day Timers, and Franklin Day Planner.

XP also has a portable client, and fully supports PC laptops and Macintosh
PowerBooks. By storing copies of users' calendars both locally and on a
server, it allows users to work off-line (with a laptop) or continue
working in the event a server or network connection goes down. Changes
reconcile in both directions when users reconnect. Because of this
distributed database design, network traffic and server load are
dramatically decreased, resulting in greatly improved overall
performance.

As a single server product, Meeting Maker XP enables Windows and Macintosh
clients to be networked to a Windows or Macintosh server.

The Windows client requires a 386 or 486 PC running Windows 3.1 (enhanced
mode), 4 Mb RAM, a VGA monitor, and a Novell network.

The Macintosh client requires a Macintosh Plus or above with System 6.0.4
or above, 2 Mb RAM, AppleTalk or EtherTalk, and Novell's MacIPX driver
(when available) or ON's ON*IPX driver for cross-platform operation.

The Windows server requires a 386 or 486 machine running Windows 3.1
(enhanced mode), 4Mb of RAM, and a Novell network.

Notework Electronic Mail

Notework is an electronic mail, fax and telephone messaging package for
Novell NetWare. Notework is a Windows/DOS combination package for all
users. Notework automatically adapts to either the DOS or Windows
environment depending upon which environment the user is working in.

In DOS, Notework is a terminate-and-stay-resident (TSR) program, while in
Windows it runs as a GUI application. When a user is working in Windows,
Notework is accessed via its unique "floating" icon. When the user
switches to DOS, Notework automatically switches, and can "Pop-Up" again
over any application to send or read mail.

The operation and functionality of Notework under Windows varies little
from DOS, minimizing additional training and permitting rapid switching
between environments.

Installation for both environments takes only five minutes, and Notework
requires zero K of conventional memory and only 5K of upper memory.

Notework supports up to 50,000 local and remote users in a single, fully
searchable address book. Notework's multiple server installation can
support up to 100 servers -- with up to 1,000 users per server -- and does
not require a dedicated PC to act as a mail server or post office.

Most E-mail packages offer many features that are not used. For the
non-technical user, when these features are all presented together, the
interface becomes difficult. But Notework is designed to make the common
message functions (such as sending and receiving notes, phone notes,
urgent notes and FLASH incoming telephone call messages) very easy. This
allows the power users to have their advanced features while non-technical
users can simply send and receive messages without having to worry about
the features they don't want or need.

This simplicity translates into reduced training, reduced support and
ultimately increased productivity for Notework users.

Notework Is Easy To Use

Notework is an easy-to-use E-mail package with many features for sending
and receiving messages.

Sending Messages:

* "Pops-Up" inside any DOS application (including graphics
  programs such as Aptitude)
* Mouse driven graphical user interface under Windows
* Address notes to both individuals and groups, locally
  and/or to remote users
* Form selection: Note, Urgent Note, Wide Note, Phone
  Note or FLASH
* Attach Files to notes (any size and format including: text,
binary, graphics, single files, wildcards or lists of files)
* Intelligent subject lines
* Confirmation of delivery (for all or selected messages)
* Export messages to text files
* Keep copies of messages sent
* Import text files into messages
* Print messages
* Cut and paste screen samples from the underlying application
  into notes
* Carbon copy (cc:) and blind carbon copy (bcc:) of notes
* Comment on and forward notes

Receiving Messages

* With its non-intrusive sound and symbol notification of new mail,
Notework does not interrupt work when a user receives a message. It sounds
a tone -- varying with the type of message -- and posts a symbol to tell a
user there is mail. The symbol stays on the screen as a reminder that
there is unopened mail.

* Many other NetWare-compatible E-mail packages use the Novell SEND command
to alert the user to new mail. This command places a gray bar across the
bottom of the screen and locks the PC until the user clears the bar. This
method of notification can often have a negative impact such as timeouts
during print spoiling jobs, lock-ups in graphics applications and broken
connections during communications programs or terminal emulation sessions.
Once the gray bar is cleared, there is nothing to remind the user that
mail is waiting to be opened.

* When the Notework package is opened the most recent mail is displayed
first, with the name of the sender, the date and time the message was
sent, the type of message and intelligent subject lines displaying the
subject of a note before it's even opened. For PHONE notes, the subject
line includes the telephone number of the caller. Mail previously opened
but not yet handled is marked differently.

In addition to features for sending and receiving messages, Notework user
features also include:

Logging and Organizing Mail -- Users can log all sent and received messages
to a single ASCII file.

User Options -- System managers can customize aspects of Notework
including: choice of HOT-KEY; keyboard similarity (WordPerfect, WordStar,
Microsoft Word or Ultimate); and the frequency that the wastebaskets are
emptied (1,3,7 or 30 days).

Sending Mail Across Multiple Servers -- Unlike most other E-mail packages,
Notework does not require a dedicated PC or "Post Office" to send mail
between servers on a LAN. Notework handles all attaching, delivering mail
and detaching automatically in the background.

Interoperability

Notework supports, but does not require, the Message Handling System (MHS)
protocol. MHS is the most widely used and supported mail exchange protocol
for LAN and PC systems. Through MHS, the Notework E-mail package can be
connected to:

Mainframe Mail Packages -- Through MHS, Notework offers connections to
gateways which link to PROFS, Office Vision, DISOSS, SNADS, DEC
All-In-One, VMS Mail, Wang Office, Prime, SYSM, SMTP-TCP/IP, Data General
CEO, Unix Mail, MCI Mail and CompuServe.

x.400 -- Notework has developed a gateway to x.400 as part of the Retix
Open Server Partners Program. In addition, Notework can also use A-GATE
(Notework's AT&T Mail gateway) to provide x.400 connectivity, or link to
x.400 via MCI Mail. Linking to x.400 via public carriers is particularly
cost effective for low volumes of x.400 mail (less than 1,000 messages per
month).

UNIX (UUCP or SMTP) -- Notework offers a UUCP gateway (UNIXGATE), which
allows users to exchange mail with Unix-based mail systems, including the
Internet and many corporate mail systems. This capability to dial directly
from a PC into the UNIX mail system is unique to Notework.

Macintosh Mail Packages -- Gateways are available to Quickmail, Microsoft
Mail and cc:Mail.

Public Carriers -- Notework has developed the first LAN PC to AT&T Mail
gateway (A-GATE). There is also an MCI Mail gateway available.

PC Mail Packages -- Notework's MHS support allows mail to be exchanged with
PC's running cc:Mail, DaVinci, Coordinator, ExpressIt!, Higgins,
WordPerfect Office, Lotus Notes and MS Mail.

Laptops, Branch Offices and Other Remote Users -- Notework also offers a
remote option for field personnel, branch offices and users working at
home. Notework Remote bundles in Personal MHS 1.5P.

Other Systems -- Using Notework's native MHS connectivity and gateways
offered by third parties, Notework can exchange messages with FAX Servers,
Voice Mail Systems, Banyan Vines, SAM, BBS software, Telex, NeXT and many
more.
